Bosco's SSD Speed Contest Concluded!
One of OCC's most interesting contest comes to an end this evening as the final number was selected to win a Mushkin 40GB SSD provided by Bosco. If you did not have a chance to participate in the contest, it may still make for a good read, so head over to the official contest thread and read through the over 670 posts that were made during the past week. The contest was fun and innovative. The basic rules of the game was to pick a number, 1-500 initially, and who ever selected the correct number, pre-determined by Bosco himself, won the first hard drive. That number was 55. Dariuas was the one to choose that since he claims to have been inspired by a video about counting to 55. The next round of the contest went on for some time, until eventually the number gap was dropped down to 0-250. After a lot of guesses, ClayMeow was the second winner, with his selection of 102. Check back for more contests in the future!
Thank you to everyone who participated!

Samsung Wonders Aloud About Changing New Galaxy Tab
Apple's recent unveiling of the iPad 2 is sure to have many competitors thinking things over about its own tablets. One such company is Samsung, and rather than keep things internally, it has talked openly about what it could do to change the upcoming 10.1" Galaxy Tab. The original 7" Galaxy Tab came in at just under 12mm thick, beating the original iPad, and the 10.1" model will be the same as the already released 7". However, the iPad 2 comes in at a mere 8.8mm thick which bests the Galaxy Tab by about 3mm (and the original iPad by 4mm). Lee Don-joo, executive VP of Samsung's mobile division, has wondered aloud publicly about what it can do to change the Galaxy Tab and address the "inadequate" parts. One thing that could be addressed, aside from the thickness, is the price of the Galaxy Tab. The 7" model is far cheaper than the iPad on a contract, but off-contract it is much more expensive. The 10.1" model could see a price reduction to better compete with the iPad 2, but that would more than likely mean Samsung would not turn a profit on it. It looks like time will tell what Samsung, and perhaps others, can do to compete with the iPad 2.
