SteelSeries Unveils Siberia v2 Headset for PS3
SteelSeries today unveiled its latest headset, dubbed the Siberia v2 for PS3. The new headset retains many features from the popular SteelSeries Siberia v2, such as an over-the-head design, leather earcups, 50mm drivers, a pull-out microphone and in-line volume control, to name a few. Although targeted at PS3 users (hence the PS3 in the name), the Siberia v2 for PS3 also brings support for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The headset uses the SteelSeries AudioMixer to enable these connections through USB, a 3.5mm audio jack or the Xbox controller, while also offering the SteelSeries LiveMix function which reduces game noise when team mates are speaking. The Siberia v2 for PS3 has a 1m cable and is bundled with all the necessary connectors for multi-platform compatibility. The SteelSeries Siberia v2 headset for PS3 will be available in Q3 2011 for a MSRP of $119.99 (€119.99).

AMD Teases with Llano APU Performance
Godfrey Cheng, in his blog post, revealed some interesting information about the next series of APUs to be released by AMD this year. It is already known that the processors codenamed "Llano" will be manufactued in 32nm and will include a supposedly beefy graphics processor, 480 stream processors on die, like their smaller brothers that have already made their way to market: the E and C-series of Fusion APUs. Their x86 cores are going to be vastly improved Athlon II architecture, mainly better at power consumption.
It is said that AMD has given much more importance to parallel processing, such as media encoding and playback capabilties, than to improving x86 performance with these, since it really is what people do now with computers. Nonetheless, the upcoming mobile parts have four x86 cores, but no frequency has been divulged. At least 2.4GHz maximum frequency would be a safe bet, though.
At the end of the video, a marketing name is put on that die: the "A8-3510MX". Maybe the X stands for a Black Edition, like with current mobile Phenom IIs? Nothing is sure until release. The integrated graphics are named the HD6620M. If that number is anything significant, the IGP should perform a bit below the dedicated HD6630M, which possesses the same number of stream processors as the rumors say about Llano. The HD6620M has to share the main memory interface with the x86 cores though, which is a considerable hindering.
Speaking of performance, a nice multitasking comparison is shown against the 2GHz Sandy Bridge Core i7-2630QM. If the numbers hold true, Llano consumes less power than the competition, while being noticeably better at media playback and graphics workload, especially in multi-tasking scenarios. Here is that video in question:
It looks to be a very promising product. According the the rumors, the A-series APUs will be out in Q2 of this year.

Zotac Unleashes ZBOX AD02 Series Mini-PCs
Zotac has just announced its latest product, the ZBOX AD02 series mini-PCs. These mini-PCs are powered by the new AMD E-350 APU and should make for an excellent HTPC. The APU is based on the AMD Fusion platform and combines a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with an HD 6310 GPU on the same chip to provide for stellar performance at a low wattage. The ZBOX AD02 comes in two flavors, the stock AD02 and the AD02 Plus which adds in a hard drive and RAM. The stock AD02 system does not have a hard drive or RAM included so you will need to provide your own, but the entire chassis is tool-free so you shouldn't have any problem building it up. The RAM is of the SO-DIMM variety and the hard drive needs to be a 2.5" model, but you should be unlimited in your choices. Each system has built-in 802.11n WiFi, a 6-in-1 memory card reader, an eSATA port, two USB 3.0 ports on the rear, four USB 2.0 ports (two on the rear, one on the front, one on the top), 7.1 channel audio, and DVI, HDMI, and VGA (by way of an adapter) ports. The operating system can be whatever you choose.
No launch date or price was mentioned for the Zotac ZBOX AD02 mini-PCs.

Corsair Announces a Few New Products
Corsair is a leader in a variety of components for your computer, whether it is memory, a power supply, or even a cooling system, Corsair has you covered. As such, Corsair is announcing availability of three new products today. There is the Flash Voyager USB 3.0 flash drive, a new color of heatspreaders for the Vengeance DDR3 memory kits, and the launch of the Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler. First up at the flasl drives which sees the Flash Voyager series getting the benefit of a USB 3.0 connection. Each drive has the same rubber housing as past drives, just now you can plug it into a USB 3.0 port for fast transfers. There was no word on just how fast the transfers will be on USB 3.0, but I am sure it'll be more than enough. The Flash Voyager 3.0 flash drives are available in 8, 16, and 32GB capacities.
Next up is a new heatspreader color for the Vengeance DDR3 memory kits. The new color is Cerulean Blue and should look great on many motherboards that feature a blue scheme. The kits are identical to the already released Vengeance sticks, just this time you can get a blue heatspreader instead of the black ones. Capacities range from 4 to 16GB at 1600MHz speeds, and are compatible with Intel and AMD platforms.
Lastly we have the immediate shipment of the new Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler. New features of the H60 include a low-profile, lightweight cooling unit which should reduce clutter around your CPU, a redesigned microchannel cold plate with a new fin design which increases the copper surface, and a new split-flow manifold that delivers water directly to the middle of the plate for improved cooling. The H60 also includes a more affordable price point which should allow anyone interested in water cooling to take that first step.
The Corsair Flash Voyager USB 3.0 drives will be available in April with the 8GB costing $19.99, the 16GB at $29.99, and the 32GB at $69.99. The Cerulean Blue Vengeance DDR3 kits are available now and should be the same price as the ones with the black heatspreaders. The Corsair Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler will be available early this month for $79.

Greenliant Samples Industrial-Grade NANDrive Embedded SSDs
Greenliant has started sampling the industrial-grade variant of its NANDrive GLS85LS embedded solid state drive (SSD) series. The latest NANDrive SSDs are designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C, suiting demanding industrial applications. The NANDrive packs a SATA NAND controller and SLC NAND flash memory chips in a compact design, measuring 14mmx24mmx1.85mm, making it one of the industry's smallest SSDs.
Bing Yeh, CEO of Greenliant Systems said that "Designers of industrial electronics are concerned about the lifetime of their products and how changes in technology will affect those products. NANDrive is an integrated SSD that addresses these concerns with robust wear leveling technology and advanced error correction code (ECC) algorithms. It extends the NAND flash lifetime and gives customers added protection against NAND flash supply issues."The new NANDrives use a SATA interface, offering speeds of up to 39MB/s (write) and 50MB/s (read). The Industrial NANDrive variants will be available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities. Greenliant is currently sampling the Industrial NANDrives to select customers.
