Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro CPU Cooler
The Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro CPU cooler was put to the test by the gang at Tweaknews today. I'm not sure what a "cross blow" is but the TN crew seemed to like it. "When it's all said and done, Arctic Cooling's new Freezer 13 Pro, with it's innovative "Cross Blow" feature, is a worthy successor to the Freezer series of coolers. As of this writing, it only seems to be available from the Arctic Cooling website for around $55 US." Comments

Crysis 2 Pretty Much Sucks a Sloppy...
We have played them all! Farcry, Crysis, and now Crysis 2. If you were relying on Crytek to stress your new AMD or NVIDIA GPUs, well, you will likely have to wait another 4 years, or never probably. Crysis 2 graphics suck. Yes the graphics suck and you all know why. Crytek sold us out for a bunch of pussy 360 gamers. Gameplay is about as exciting and motivating as pulling a scab off your dog's scrotum. Open gameplay? Yeah right. Challenging? Not in the least. Crysis 2 goes into the "Never Finished" game bin with Daikatana. Come to think of it, Daikatana had better multi-player. I don't often gripe about game devs selling out, but Crytek sure did. Crytek is not about innovative gameplay and astounding graphics any more. Crytek is about ripping me off for $60. I think Crytek would have gotten better press if it had not of even released its water-downed and anemic PC version of this "game." I hope Cevat Yerli chokes on this giant flaccid floppy penis of a game, while he is pulling out his overstuffed-wallet. Yeah, I just said that, and I meant it. At least my 10 year old son thinks it is awesome. Wish he would give me the $60 back. Crysis 2 will be a great buy....when it hits the $2.99 price point on Steam. Bitching and Moaning

Tech-Savvy Victim Tracks Laptop Thief
This is a perfect example of why you shouldn't steal someone's laptop. Bonus: the victim posted the thief's crappy dance videos on YouTube. Revenge of the nerd is complete. Last week, Bao discovered he could access some features of the machine, including his browser history and the contents of his hard drive. One of the revelations was that his thief (as have others before him) immediately took a picture with Photo Booth. The crook even recorded himself dancing (terribly) to a remix of Tyga's 'Make it Rain,' which Bao posted on YouTube. Comments

SilverStone SFX ST45SF 450W PSU
PC Perspective has just posted a review of the SilverStone SFX ST45SF 450W PSU. If you need a decent 450W power supply for your SFX project, the crew at PCPer says this just might be what you are looking for. The SilverStone ST45SF is a good SFX form factor power supply. It has many of the features that you would expect from larger ATX enthusiast PSUs like a painted chassis and sleeved cables. The power supply delivered good voltage regulation with good efficiency and maintained relatively clean outputs across a wide range of loads. The ST45SF also comes with both EPS12V and PCI-E connectors, which typically aren't found on a small SFX form factor PSU. Comments

Record Companies Seeking $75T in Damages from Lime Wire
Record companies asked the courts for $75 trillion in damages (that is trillion, with a "T") in the Lime Wire copyright case. That's reasonable, right? The record companies, which had demanded damages ranging from $400 billion to $75 trillion, had argued that Section 504(c)(1) of the Copyright Act provided for damages for each instance of infringement where two or more parties were liable. For a popular site like Lime Wire, which had thousands of users and millions of downloads, Wood held that the damage award would be staggering under this interpretation. Comments

U.S. Senators Ask Apple to Pull Police-Evasion Apps
It is nice to see what politicians do with all the free time they have after they fixed the economy, eliminated unemployment and stopped plummeting home values. Our tax dollars not at work. U.S. Senators Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), and Tom Udall (D-N.M.) are named as senders in the letter, which is addressed to Apple's senior vice president of iPhone software, Scott Forstall. No specific applications are named, but the letter highlights apps that "contain a database of DUI [driving under the influence] checkpoints updated in real-time" as well as one that sends out real-time alerts about the existence of these checkpoints.
