Windows Phone 7 To Receive New Games
As more and more mobile phone carriers start to offer Windows Phones and not just Android devices, such as the upcoming HTC device on Sprint, the market share is a changing game in terms of Microsoft and Google. What is most usual for the mobile Operating System however is that many games are just not featured on the new WP7 version since it is a newer platform when compared to the Android spectrum. But soon, some new games will be coming to Windows Phone 7 including Doodle Jump, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I, Hydro Thunder Go, Plants vs. Zombies, and geoDefense. Also being featured on the device soon will be Angry Birds by Rovio, a game that Android users have been enjoying for more time than many people can track. Luckily for most Windows Phone users is that the new games, not including Angry Birds however, to hit the platform will support Xbox Live and feature both leaderboards and achievements.

Apple Refreshes MacBook Pro Line, Adds Sandy Bridge and Thunderbolt
It had been rumored for a little while and now Apple has gone official as it has announced a refresh to its MacBook Pro line of laptops. There are five models in total and all benefit from new Intel Sandy Bridge processors, Intel Thunderbolt, AMD Radeon HD 6000M GPUs, and FaceTime HD cameras. That Intel Thunderbolt is merely a renamed Light Peak which allows for 10Gbps transfers in both directions at the same time. There are two 13 inch models, two 15.4", and one 17" model to make sure you are covered on any size you want. The 13" models can have either a Core i5 or i7 processor (dual-core versions of both), 4GB of RAM, and either a 320 or 500GB hard drive depending on which one you snag. There are no AMD graphics here as Apple has gone with the integrated Intel HD 3000 series off the Sandy Bridge chips.
The two 15.4" models come with a quad-core Core i7 running at either 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz, an AMD HD6490M or HD6750M, and a 500 or 750GB hard drive. There are also options to have an SSD ranging between 128 and 512GB installed. Apple has also kept the ability to switch between the AMD GPU or the integrated Intel one. As for the 17" model, it has all the same components as the higher end 15.4" one, including the 2.2GHz quad-core Core i7, HD6750M, and 750GB hard drive or SSD options.
All of these models are available directly from Apple today. The 13" models start at $1,199 or $1,499, the 15.4" ones are $1,799 or $2,199, and the 17" will cost you $2,499.

MSI Afterburner V2.1.0 and Kombustor V2.0.0 Released Today
I know there are a great many of you out there who prefer to use MSI Afterburner for overclocking your video card so this bit of news is for you. MSI has announced that version 2.1.0 of its Afterburner program is now available and brings with it a few new features, including support for NVIDIA 500 series and AMD 6000 series cards. Before the program was designed just for overclocking and overvoltage control, but now MSI is adding the ability to capture in-game video with Afterburner. MSI Afterburner's Predator Video Capturing technology is what is powering it and should provide for some pretty sweet in-game captures. MSI has also released version 2.0.0 of its Kombustor utility which is now an independent benchmark program instead of something just for stress testing. V2.0.0 of Kombustor incorporates PhysX and DirectX 11 testing directly in, something MSI is hoping the entire industry will use to benchmark cards. As always, these two programs will work with any brand of graphics card out there, not just with MSI ones. Feel free to download them here.
