Prolimatech Launches Genesis CPU-Cooler
Prolimatech has launched its latest CPU-cooler, named the Genesis. The Genesis features two towers with a unique tower placement. One tower is placed vertically, following in line with the Megahalems and Super Mega, but the other is placed horizontally. This enables the cooler to be mounted with up to three 120mm or 140mm fans, allowing maximum airflow. As always with Prolimatech, the cooler will not be bundled with any cooling fans to let enthusiasts choose their own fan setup. The new cooler supports AMD's AM2, AM2+ and AM3 sockets, along with Intel's 775, 1155, 1156 and 1366 sockets using the included mounting kits. The Genesis will also be bundled with mounting parts for two fans, a tube of the Prolimatech PK-1 thermal paste and a CPU backplate. The Prolimatech Genesis CPU-cooler is available for pre-order now from Caseking.de and will release on March 4 for around US$81 (€59.90).

NVIDIA Reveals Tegra Roadmap - Next Chip to be World's First Quad-Core Mobile Processor
The Mobile World Congress has been going on all week and there have been announcements left and right concering new phones, tablets, and the technology behind them. NVIDIA has already shown a slew of new tablets running its Tegra 2 chip, which is a dual-core processor packed with a GeForce GPU. Those tablets are bound to be impressive, but NVIDIA wasn't done with announcements at MWC. Today, NVIDIA has just announced its Tegra roadmap and the successor to the Tegra 2, a new quad-core chip that is the world's first for a mobile processor. NVIDIA not only showed off the chip but also had it running in an Android tablet that was able to browse the Internet, play games, and stream video. The video was 1440p content running on a 2560x1600 resolution panel. This allows the Tegra 2 successor, code-named Kal-El, to display the highest resolutions on a 10.1 inch device with 300 DPI.
Kal-El also contains a twelve core GeForce GPU while the whole package is being sampled to partners now. Tablets with the quad-core chip are expected to be ready in August while smartphones will have it by the winter holiday season. As for the roadmap, the next Tegra chips have code-names of Wayne, Logan, and Stark, which NVIDIA will have a new one launching each year with Stark arriving in 2014. Stark offers 75 times the performance of the upcoming Kal-El, which NVIDIA's partners are more than excited to use. It looks like the mobile world is going to be quite exciting over the next several years.

OCZ Announces 2Xnm NAND Flash Solid State Drives
OCZ has announced the successful transition to the 2Xnm fabrication process. For the consumer, this should translate into lower prices on solid state drives in the near future. By shrinking the die that the NAND flash chips are made with, a lower price per gigabyte can be achieved. Hopefully it will also result in larger drives. It should be similar to other major computer components. Some products will remain available using the 3Xnm process, and also at a higher price point.

AMD to Kill Off Athlon, Phenom, and Sempron Names?
AMD is getting real close to having new desktop processors on the market soon, but the names may be a little different. AMD has been pretty keen on incorporating things into its Vision brand, the ATI name being one of them, and now it seems that the Athlon, Phenom, and Sempron names will also disappear. AMD will instead use A, FX, and E to differentiate between the different levels of performance. The Llano APU will fall into the mid-range market and thus into the A-series, the Zambezi chips will be the FX-series, and the low-end chips will be the E-seris. The A-series chips will be in the AMD Vision Ultimate and AMD Vision Premium platforms, the FX-series in the AMD Vision Black and AMD Vision Ultimate platforms, while the E-series will be in the AMD Vision platform. It will be interesting to see what AMD does to separate the A-series AMD Vision Ultimate platform from the FX-series one, but hopefully it won't be confusing for the end-user. There was already the rumor that AMD would have the Zambezi chips carry the FX name, so this new one just seems to reinforce the idea. But as always, since this is a rumor, take it for what it is until we get confirmation one way or the other from AMD.

BitFenix Shinobi Mid-Tower Chassis Revealed
The next chassis in BitFenix's line-up has been revealed by European retailer Caseking.de. The online PC enthusiast store released a video detailing the upcoming chassis, named the Shinobi. The BitFenix Shinobi is a mid-tower ATX chassis, featuring a sleek black interior and exterior, along with a thin rubber "Soft Touch" coating. Based on the video, the chassis has three 5.25" drive bays and eight 3.5" drives. Holes are included in the motherboard tray to assist with cable management and CPU cooler installation. The Shinobi comes with two 120mm fans (one front intake and one rear exhaust) although users have the option to install up to four more 120mm fans (one front intake, one side-panel intake, two top). Dust build-up is minimised by the pre-installed dust filters located in the front intake and PSU intake areas. A triangular side-panel window, four USB ports and two audio ports on the front panel complete the chassis.
BitFenix has not disclosed any details regarding the pricing or availability if the Shinobi chassis. The video from Caseking.de follows (in German).

Thermaltake Frio OCK CPU Cooler Unveiled
Thermaltake is a leading manufacturer in a variety of computer components, including cooling. It launched its Frio CPU cooler last year and it was quite the success since it delivered exceptional cooling performance. Now, Thermaltake is launching an updated version in the form the Frio OCK CPU cooler. The Frio OCK has six 6mm heatpipes that transport the heat into two separate towers. The move to a dual-tower design allows for an increased airflow and ventilation by the two included fans, though I will wait for a review to see if it is better than the original. The Frio OCK can handle up to 240W so any processor should be nice and cool under it. There are two 130mm high-pressure fans working in a push-pull configuration on the Frio OCK. Each fan runs at 1200RPM but can ramp it up to 2100RPM for improved cooling during a high overclock or extreme load. As for the design, Thermaltake based it off the bunkers from StarCraft II so that you could have a little piece of the popular RTS game in your case of choice.
The Thermaltake Frio OCK CPU cooler will work with all current Intel and AMD sockets, though no mention was made of a price or launch date.
