Intel Oak Trail-based tablets coming in a month
Intel Oak-Trail-based tablets are expected to ship by March 30. The first one is expected to be the Samsung Sliding PC 7 (on pictures), and other devices expected to follow the Windows 7, Atom Z600-powered Samsung hybrid include the Fujitsu’s Stylistic Q550, the Motion CL900, a revamped ExoPC, Viliv X70, Ocosmos OCS1 and Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slate. Windows 7 is expected to the principal OS for these devices at this time, although Android and MeeGo tablets based on the Oak-Trail tablets are expected before the end of 2011.

Asus Eee Note EA800 to reach US market
Asus certainly has a lot of love for the US market and proof of that stands in the sub-$200 price tag promised for its Eee Note EA800 e-reader / digital notepad combo. The same device was launched one month ago in Europe, priced at €259 which is about $356 at the current rate.

MSI goes Brazos at CeBIT
MSI will use CeBIT to show off numerous products based on AMD's Brazos platform and the company will formally announce a bunch of products based on the new platform. First in line is the MSI CR650, which has been announced a while back. This 15.6-incher is running on a 1.6GHz E-350 APU with AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics. According to details known so far, it will sell at around €399 to €499 depending on the configuration. The next in line is the netbook variant, the Wind U270. Packing the same APU as the previous 15.6-incher this 12-incher should sell at around €399.

Intel to launch Z68 chipset in May
Intel has started P67 B3 (revision without the SATA bug) production last week and shipment to customers has resumed. Interestingly, Intel has also started production of their Z68 chipset this week along with other Cougar Point units like H61 and Q65. All of them are based on the new B3 stepping, therefore the SATA port 2-5 issue is fixed before they hit the market.
