ECS P67H2-A2 Intel 1155 Preview @ PCSTATS
"The picture isn't crystal clear just yet, but at CES we cleared part of the cloud surrounding companies 2011 solid state drive products. At the very least we will see seven new SSD controllers enter the market in 2011. Of those, four are directed at the consumer market and three are enterprise designs. Only time will tell which consumer controllers get converted to enterprise models and vice versa. Of the seven overall, we saw working samples of three and they were all twice as fast as the Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB drive. 2011 isn't all about controllers, though. The types of flash memory will play a more significant role this year. The new flash will make it possible to practically deliver 512GB SSDs while at the same time reducing the cost of SSDs across the board. Don't look for price reductions until Q4, though. Just like last year, the controllers will be expensive and companies will need to recoup their tooling costs early in the production runs."... [TWEAKTOWN] via PCSTATS

Corsair Force Series F90 Solid State Drive RAID Report @ PCSTATS
As CPU memory controllers continue to become the bottleneck when it comes to overclocking memory, having modules that can keep up has become increasingly important. G.Skill's Ripjaws modules are currently known as some of the best modules on the market in terms of price and overall performance while offering a good amount of overhead for overclockers. With their new 8GB kit, high capacity, extended performance for current platforms is within reach for everyone.... [HARDWARECANUCKS] via PCSTATS

AMD Phenom II X4 975 BE & 840 Quad-Core Processors @ PCSTATS
"It's been quite some time since we've published a RAID Report, but don't think we forgot about the users looking to get the most out of their systems. SandForce has produced a really good SSD controller that is very resistant to "SSD Fragmentation". The core product of the consumer SandForce SF-1200 is the enterprise SF-1500 controller. Enterprise customers almost always design and use RAID for redundancy in their servers, but we have still yet to receive a hardware RAID solution that is able to pass along the TRIM command. Today we are going to take a pair of consumer class Corsair Force 90GB SSDs with a Newegg price of 189.99 each and pair them in RAID 0 on an enthusiast motherboard. If everything goes as planned, the two drives will deliver 180GB of capacity and speeds unmatched by a single SSD on the market."... [TWEAKTOWN] via PCSTATS

NVIDIA 3D Vision Live Goes Online @ PCSTATS
Today AMD is releasing two new processors for the main-stream market. First up is a new top-end quad-core, the 3.6 GHz Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition. The X4 975 BE is simply a 100 MHz speed bump over the already familiar X4 970 BE with no other design changes. The second new processor is a budget quad-core, the 3.2 GHz Phenom II X4 840. Previously the 8xx series chips have had 4MB of L3 cache instead of the traditional 6MB, but this new X4 840 is a little different.... [PHENOM] via PCSTATS

MSI's Master Overclocking Arena @ PCSTATS
"The AMD Phenom II 975 Black Edition is a speed bump in the line and has all of the attributes you have come to expect in a Phenom II. The Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition is built on tried and true C3 silicon 45 nanometer process for the AM3 socket and has a stock core frequency of 3.6Ghz. Featuring 2Mb of L2 and 6Mb of L3 cache and an unlocked multiplier, the Phenom II X4 975BE is aimed squarely at the enthusiast. The 3.2Ghz Phenom II 840 is a little different. Though it bears the Phenom name, it is built on the Propus core more commonly associated with the Athlon II line. And like the Athlon II, the Phenom II X4 840 has a 2Mb L2 cache, but lacks any L3 cache. The Phenom II X4 840 is also more energy efficient with a 95 watt TDP, compared to the 125 watts of the 975BE and other Phenom II quad cores CPUs. Priced at $99.00, it is an entry level in the Phenom lineup, but at 3.2Ghz it is an entry level that promises plenty of raw power."... [HITECHLEGION] via PCSTATS

Sparkle GT240 Video Card 512MB vs 1024MB @ PCSTATS
"The case also has built-in watercooling support through tube holes and even allows you to swap heatsinks or waterblock brackets without the need to remove the motherboard. Sure, it would have been nice if the case included a few more things with it (like fans) but it is nice to know there are other options when it comes to a side panel on this case. Not really sure if a side panel can be purchased separately like some other manufactures do offer. However, I'm sure the case is likely sold with different options depending on where you get it."... InWin Dragon Rider chassis review @ PCSTATS
"Today for review IÂ’ve got two cards from Sparkle, theyÂ’re both the GT240 but one has 512mb of ram while the other has 1024mb of ram. So this review is a review yes, but itÂ’s also a comparison of what 512mb is worth when compared to 1024mb of ram on a video card. I was curious myself, and ultimately surprised by what I found out. Silverstone Grandia GD02-MT Case Review @ PCSTATS
In order to begin we have our first board that is squarely targeted at the budget minded individual. The ASRock P67 Pro3 is the middle of the road motherboard, still offering quite a bit in the form of technology and features, but does not go over the top as to keep it at an affordable price point. Offering a powerful V8 + 2 power phase configuration, support for the unlocked multiplier ‘K’ series processors, USB 3.0 and even SATA III. Anyone looking at the Pro3 will definitely get a solid motherboard with a whole lot of bells and whistles.... [PRO-CLOCKERS] via PCSTATS

OtterBox Commuter Series for iPad @ PCSTATS
"Since the dawn of computers, one goal has always been to stuff more power into a smaller space. The mini-ITX form factor, and the Mvix Minix 890GX specifically, allow you to run a standard desktop processor on a motherboard not much larger than a grown manÂ’s hand. Even more impressive is that almost every feature of a full sized ATX motherboard has been crammed into the miniature footprint of the Minix 890GXÂ…and it can overclock, too."... HIS Radeon HD 6970 2GB Video Card Overclocked @ PCSTATS
Last September we published a budget SSD round-up featuring eight drives priced at or below $150. Kingston's SSDNow V Series was among the models tested, and at just $125 ($1.95 per gigabyte) the 64GB version was an exceptional value. Utilizing Toshiba's TC58NCF618GBT controller, the drive provided surprisingly impressive performance. Kingston has since expanded their SSD range by adding the SSDNow V100 and SSDNow V+100 Series to the mix. They also released a portable 1.8" line called SSDNow V+180 designed for ultra-mobile devices, such as ultra-thin notebooks, netbooks and tablet PCs. Since the SSDNow V+180 Series is a spin-off of the original SSDNow V+ Series, it features the same Toshiba T6UG1XBG controller. As a result, the same sequential read/write throughput of 230MB/s and 180MB/s still applies, and it comes in the same 64GB, 128GB or 256GB capacities. Solid state drives supporting the 1.8" form factor are nothing new and, in fact, many products we've tested have 1.8" alternatives. We don't consider the 1.8" OCZ Vertex 2 a viable option with its asking price of $240 for 60GB, but at around $25 cheaper than the 64GB SSDNow V+180 Series the Onyx certainly is. We will be keeping a close eye on this match up in our review, so read on to see how Kingston stacks up against the competition. ... [TECHSPOT] via PCSTATS

Galaxy GeForce GTX 460 WHDI @ PCSTATS
"We've just had a look at the HIS HD 6970 Turbo and I then realized that we hadn't even had a look at the reference HD 6970 2GB from HIS. It's not that we had forgotten about it, but we wanted to give the card the same treatment as the GIGABYTE HD 6950 2GB we have just looked at. Since we had looked at the HD 6970 by itself as well as in Crossfire, the next thing to do was see what happens when we overclock them. With the holidays it seemed that MSI were a little slower than normal when it came to updating Afterburner with voltage support, so unfortunately we're looking at the HIS HD 6970 in this regard a little later than we would normally."... Antec TruePower Quattro 1200W Power Supply Review @ PCSTATS
"The Galaxy GeForce GTX 460 WHDI graphics card is a truly unique offering that brings uncompressed wireless video your current configuration with an impressive set of features. Using this Galaxy card and the included receiver you can wirelessly connect your PC to an HDTV or even just a standard monitor in another room of your house and still get the same image quality (and sound quality) you would get with the two being directly connected via HDMI or DVI. While 3D gaming and 3D Blu-ray aren't supported yet, the quality of the WHDI technology impressed me while playing games at 1920x1080 and watching Blu-ray at the full 1080p resolution."...
