Anyone recognize the guy in this story? The jackass stole a bunch of video game consoles used by little kids with cancer (during their treatment). Thanks to everyone that sent this one in, hopefully we can help catch the guy. "We are definitely making every attempt to get these gaming systems back to the young patients at Carolinas Medical Center so that they won't be deprived much longer from playing their favorite video game while enduring treatment for their illnesses," officers said in a news release about the theft. MPAA, RIAA: Lawsuits Won't Protect Content
Wait a second, the RIAA / MPAA actually said lawsuits aren't a solution to copyright infringement? Oh, never mind, I see the angle they are playing nowÂ…they are trying (again) to pressure ISPs into becoming copyright enforcers. The coalition complained that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the law that offers Internet service providers a safe harbor from copyright liability, offers companies too many loopholes. They say that the way the law reads now, ISPs have too much of "an excuse to do nothing to combat pervasive and even blatant infringement." Comments

Porn Sites Closer to Getting XXX Web Address
Porn sites are now closer to having .XXX domain names. How much closer? About as close as they were the last 41 times they were "close." The Internet's key oversight body is one step closer to giving pornography websites their own online address. Military Bans Removable Media
The military has finally banned removable media on all systems, servers and stand alone machines. Why they had removable media in the first place is a mystery. Next up, a ban on TPB, P2P, MySpace, Facebook and AOL chat. "Unauthorized data transfers routinely occur on classified networks using removable media and are a method the insider threat uses to exploit classified information. To mitigate the activity, all Air Force organizations must immediately suspend all SIPRNET data transfer activities on removable media," the order adds. Comments

RunCore Launches 1TB 3.5" SATA III SSD
Holy moly! Would you take a look at this massive 1TB 3.5" SSD drive from RunCore! I'll take two please. For several years of development, the commercial level of SSD has begun to take shape in the market. More and more people take SSD into consideration for their laptop computers, but the capacity of 2.5-inch SSD cannot meet their daily needs. RunCore has recently released a 3.5-inch SSD with its maximum capacity of 1TB. This SSD is not only with a large capacity, but also supports SATA III 6 GB with a fancy performance of more than 500MB/s. In the current SSD market, the maximum physical size of SSD is 2.5 inch due to limited number of Flash memory chips, which also limite SSD's maximum capacity. Therefore, some SSD users had to prepare an extra large capacity HDD in order to store large amount of files. The new product of RunCore is a good solution to such occasion. The performance of this 3.5 inch SSD almost reached the limit of SATA III 6 GB, plus specially designed to increase the function of different mode selection, which is, switching the button can select correspondingly high-performance mode or data backup mode.
