Adorable Mini Cooper Flash Drives Gets Drafted for Government Work

The international love affair with this tiny car takes a turn for the serious with a new set of Mini Cooper flash drives. The latest batch of Mini authorized USB flash drives depicts how the Mini has been adopted to brighten up dull government and service roles. There's a bevvy of tiny police cars, two from the UK as well as a German and Japanese variant. There's also a parade worthy Fire Chief model but even the smallest Shriner couldn't fit their favorite fez inside. Rounding out the batch is a NATO camouflage model with questionable applications at all levels. The USB port hides inside the boot for secure transport or break-time play (you know you do it). Whilst connected to a suitable host PC the Mini's headlights will light up granting access to the 4GB flash storage. Despite obviously catering to government and law enforcement these drives still won't be permitted on US Military desk-ways due to the ban. With any luck, after the WikiLeaks scandal has subsided, flash drives will again get some love from the hill. Until then you can get yours for private sector or home use for $29.90 at GizmoAgent.

Iain Sinclair Poco 3D Camcorder Comes in Credit Card Size

Who doesn't love new and innovative tech?! We know we sure do love something new and shiny; and what has to be one of the coolest new tech of the year (in a year with some killer new tech), comes the smallest ever pocket camcorder which can produce 3D! The Iain Sinclair Poco 3D is only 85.6 x 54 x 5 mm yet its dual built in lens can record 3D movies! Add in 1080p and a 2.2-inch touchscreen and you have what will easily be the hot new item of the season... assuming it works and that you have a 3D capable display whether it be TV, monitor or projector! Of course, getting something this small does mean a couple design sacrifices had to be made and the biggest of these is the lack of optical stabilization. Instead of "real" image stabilization, it relies on digital stabilization. On the positive side, it does have built in LEDs for low(ish) light shooting abilities, 8GB on-board memory and a durable magnesium body. Micro-USB takes care of battery charging and of course transferring back video back to PC. While there is no word on the exact release date, you can reserve one now for about $308.

VogDUO Green Wall USB Charger Eliminates Vampire Power

Let's face it, USB recharging is a royal nuisance. It either takes up a free port on your PC, drains your laptop's batteries or does both. The only real solution is to buy a USB to wall outlet converter and plug the darn thing into a real power outlet... just like the way it should have come from the manufacturer! If you are like us, you probably have drawer full of USB charger adapters and are always on the look out for an multi-port adapter that doesn't suck. If so, the all new VogDUO Green Wall Charger may just be right up your alley. While multi-port adapter are a dime a dozen, this little bad boy has a couple interesting tweaks. The biggest of these is a built in timer that you can set to charge for a certain number of hours and then shut itself off. This certainly lives up to its green promise to reduce vampire power to a minimal, but what is really useful is the included Y adapter. Much like many adapters, the four VogDUO Green Wall Charger only allows 5V (1A off the 5V rail) per port, but by using the included Y adapter, you can charge your fancy new iPad or other 5 to 10 watt power hog via it! No word on pricing or when it will be released, but we should know more after CES 2011.
