Is Google too powerful in the Internet search market, and more importantly are they abusing that position of power? It appears that the European Union has decided that it's time to investigate this particular question after complaints from rival search engines.
The European Commission has launched an investigation into Google after other search engines complained that the firm had abused its dominant position. The body said it would look into whether the world's largest search engine lowered the ranking of competing services in its results.
The probe follows complaints by firms including price comparison site Foundem and legal search engine ejustice.fr. Google said it would work with the Commission to "address any concerns".

Noctua extends free mounting kit offer and confirms LGA1155 compatibility
If the prospect of Intel's Sandy Bridge architecture bringing with it a new socket type caused you a "I'm not changing my CPU cooler again moment", then fear not, as it looks as though the shift to Socket LGA 1155 isn't going to be quite as painful as previous socket changes... particularly if you're a Noctua cooler owner.
Noctua today announced that owners of older Noctua CPU coolers who wish to upgrade to the upcoming LGA1155 socket will be able to obtain the appropriate NM-I3 SecuFirm2â„¢ mounting kit free of charge. Recent models such as the NH-C14, NH-D14 or NH-U12P SE2 already include the NM-I3 mounting kit and are fully compatible with LGA1155 out of the box.
Due to the spacing of the mounting holes being identical on LGA1155 and LGA1156, Noctua's NM-I3 SecuFirm2â„¢ mounting kit for LGA1156 also supports Intel's upcoming 'Sandy Bridge' platform. The following Noctua coolers already include the NM-I3 SecuFirm2â„¢ mounting system for LGA1156 and can thus be used on LGA1155 mainboards without any upgrades or modifications: NH-C14, NH-D14, NH-C12P SE14, NH-U12P SE2, NH-U9B SE2.

Gran Turismo 5 review
Given that it's been a hugely anticipated title ever since the PlayStation 3's launch, simply the fact that Gran Turismo 5 has been released at last at all is probably worthy of note. But is it any good, and how does it shape up against the latest iteration of the Xbox 360's Forza Motorsport series?
Yet thanks to this incredible vehicle variety, problems arise almost as soon as you plunge into the full-scale GT Mode (read: 'career mode'). This offering, which will take up the vast majority of the time you'll spend with Gran Turismo, provides an incredible number of events and races to test your driving skills. The usual variants in terms of entry requirements appear, allowing ample opportunity to head to the track in all the different cars populating your virtual garage. Some will only allow you to take control of that dusty old Japanese monstrosity built prior to 1979, while others will barely offer any kind of restrictions whatsoever.
The problems begin after you've managed to accumulate enough cash to purchase your second vehicle and tack on a variety of upgrades. Suddenly, the vehicle you're in control of during the next set of events is vastly superior in terms of speed in comparison to your on track rivals. That creates a multitude of races that don’t truly deserve the name, which leads to a supreme lack of excitement. Gamers with a decent level of self control can easily make sure that they're able to consistently compete in hectic and fun packed races by choosing cars on par with their fellow racers. But there's always that knowledge that a quick trip to the GT Auto shop can almost guarantee a first place finish and a shiny gold cup.

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 570 launching on December 7th?
Although NVIDIA's flagship GeForce GTX 580 part i ruling the roost for the time being in the desktop graphics market, it appears that the GPU giant won't be resting on their laurels - look out for a GeForce GTX 570 launch very soon. SweClockers have the news, which of course is in Swedish...
And, might I just add, bork bork bork. You can check out the full story over here, which thankfully also includes all of this information in English.I övrigt syns alla finesser från den mer påkostade modellen i serien, inklusive en tystare kylare, stöd för DirectX 11, CUDA, SLI, PhysX, 3D Vision samt utgångar för dubbla DVI och Mini HDMI.
