JetBrains updates Rails IDE
JetBrains on Monday will unveil RubyMine 3.0, an upgrade to its IDE that features support for the recently released Ruby on Rails 3.0 Web framework as well as improved support for Ruby 1.9, said the company, which is best known as the maker of the IntelliJ Idea Java IDE.

Symbian Foundation to close websites, take source code offline in December
Symbian Foundation has started dismantling itself. On Dec.17 the organization will shut down its websites, and anyone who wants to get the source code for the current version of the Symbian mobile operating system should download it now or they will have to pay for a copy to be shipped on physical media in the future, its website. Nokia will take over development of Symbian OS, the company said on Nov. 8. The Symbian Foundation will become a licensing operation only.

Leaked document links China to Google Aurora attack
The cache of more than 250,000 U.S. Department of State cables that WikiLeaks began releasing on Sunday includes a document linking China's Politburo to the December 2009 hack of Google's computer systems. The U.S. Embassy in Beijing was told by an unidentified Chinese contact that China's Politburo "directed the intrusion into Google's computer systems," the New York Times reported Sunday, citing a single leaked State Department cable.
