Aperion 2.4Ghz Wireless USB Speakers Boost Quality & Simplicity

It's 2010, wireless audio should not be in the shoddy state that it's in. There doesn't seem to be a cheap nor easy way to get PC sound into a pair of quality remote speakers without running wires. There are a few wireless choices, but they either require short range Bluetooth or longer range RF signals sent to poorly constructed speakers. Following Klipsch ProMedia, Aperion has become the 2nd player to bring a serious solution to the table and serious it is. The Aperion Wireless Surround Speaker System is designed to give you wireless flexibility without sacrificing quality. Their 2.4Ghz USB transmitter sends either RCA analog or uncompressed USB PC digital sound to a pair of their 2 way, 40 watt speakers in an MDF enclosure with Class D amplifiers. Audiophiles who appreciate these features already know the brand name. The Aperion Wireless Surround Speakers make for great for completing theatre setups without dangling or difficult wiring wearing you out. They will also make an easy party favorite allowing you to pump your playlists outdoors with sound that you won't be embarrassed to turn up. Owing to the quality of the speakers, this outfit will make your wallet wince, demanding a tidy $499 for the whole kit.

Razer Anasi Touted as First MMO Gaming Keyboard

Razer has added one-two punch to its gaming peripherals designed to give you a completely unfair advantage over your opponents. The new Razer Anasi MMO keyboard is made for seriously fast gaming with maximum customizations at your fingertips. The keyboard looks huge in pictures but we're hoping these are early renderings and not actual production shots. From most angles, the keyboard looks to be twice as thick as most keyboards. Apart from the thickness, it would be hard to pick out from any modern gaming keyboard. It's backlit and has what looks like only the normal complement of keys. Looks are very deceiving with the Anansi as every single key is programmable 7 times over with 7 shifted function keys pitching in. The function keys are located just under the space bar for easy thumb action. The function keys and macros can be programmed in software with game profiles or on the fly very easily for in-game adjustment. What they only hint at is probably the most exciting: integration with their heavily buttoned MMO mice. If the function keys are able to add 7 shifted functions to the 5-12 button gaming mice, the rest of the keyboard might not be necessary. Having a mouse with more than 60 functions might seem ridiculous to all but the most serious gamers but serious gamers will likely flock to this pairing in droves. Razer is only asking the usual $99 for the keyboard which will probably move it to the top of many Christmas lists this year. Good planning with stock scheduled to hit stores in early December.
