After being found liable for copyright infringement last May, LimeWire has finally been ordered to take down the key features of its service. Citing the program as committing and facilitating copyright infringement, the popular file-sharing client will be required to "disable the searching, downloading, uploading, file trading and/or file distribution functionality, and/or all functionality" of its software. For the RIAA this injunction ends a legal battle dating back to 2006, and closes the book on one of the most accessible and heavily used P2P programs of the last decade.

PlayStation Phone specs and images leaked
Details on the rumored PlayStation Phone have finally leaked, courtesy of Engadget (Gallery 1, Gallery 2). The device will be heading to the market soon, possibly with Android 3.0 (codenamed Gingerbread). If it indeed ships with Gingerbread, it could be out in time for the holidays, but that's pushing it. Engineers will only be getting the first Android 3.0 tablets in December, but then again this is a phone. Either way, Google has yet to share any release timeline details for upcoming versions of Android (such as 2.3) but it won't be long now.

Zotac whipping up dual-GPU GTX 460?
Chinese tech site Expreview.com has published pictures of a Zotac-branded video card that packs not one, but two GF104 GPUs -- the same chip that powers the GTX 460. It's unclear whether the company actually plans to sell the "GTX 460 X2" or if it's just a toy prototype, but given the GTX 460's success, we'd sure like to see a dual-GPU edition in action.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt: donÂ’t like Street View? then move!
Google Street View only shows what is already publicly available; you could go visit every place on it yourself if you wanted to. The service just makes it easier by aggregating an image of every street from multiple sides so that you can see it from the comfort of your own home. That being said, Google is being attacked for it by privacy groups in various parts of the world, and Google CEO Eric Schmidt certainly isn't helping. Most recently, he claims that one reason why Street View isn't so bad is because you could "just move," inaccurately claiming that the Street View cars only visit every place once.

Adobe confirms Flash 10.1 coming to everything but iPhone
At its MAX conference, Adobe not only announced Air 2.5 for phones, tablets, and TVs but it also confirmed that it would be bringing Flash Player 10.1 to Microsoft's Windows Phone 7, RIM's BlackBerry OS, HP's WebOS 2.0, Symbian, MeeGo, and the LiMo platform. Unfortunately, there's still no timeline for a release on each platform; Adobe is only saying that Flash 10.1 is "expected" to hit each mobile OS.

Microsoft says it's "doubling down" on PC games
Ever since it launched the Xbox, Microsoft has been readily criticized for letting the PC gaming platform fall over the wayside. India's 3D cellphone goes for $97, no glasses required
Where can you find an auto-stereoscopic 3D cellphone launching for less than $100 (Rs. 4,299) sans contract? India, of course (by the way, "auto-stereoscopic" is a fancy way of describing a 3D display that doesn't require stereoscopic goggles). Budget mobile phone manufacturer Spice Mobility has announced the M-67 3D phone, which features a 2.36-inch 240x320 pixel display with a dedicated 3D shortcut key that lets users switch between 2D and 3D viewing modes for the UI, images, and video.

Windows Phone 7 marketplace hits 1000 apps, SDK updated
With less than a month since its official debut Windows Phone 7 has already achieved itÂ’s first major milestone: 1,000 available applications. Although MicrosoftÂ’s app Marketplace pales in comparison to its main competitors, including Google which recently announced breaking the 100,000 mark, the achievement is still noteworthy when you consider the old Windows Mobile platform took seven months to reach this figure since its app store launched.
