Verizon iPhone Update
It was reported earlier this week that the CEO of Verizon denied rumors that the iPhone would be coming to his network as a CDMA device. He wants the iPhone to go straight to the 4G LTE network, but that will only be available in 30 cities by the end of the year. However, new reports have surfaced that Taiwanese manufacturing company Pegatron has been contracted to build three million CDMA iPhones starting in November. By the middle of next year, that number will jump to around ten million. A CDMA iPhone opens up more possibilities than just Verizon, with Sprint and China Telecom, among others, also sporting a CDMA network.

iPad Coming to Target Stores
Consumers can already purchase the Apple iPad on the internet, at Apple Stores, and Best Buy. Starting October 3, you will also be able to purchase four of the models at Target. All Wi-Fi models and one 3G model will be available in store, and there is a chance that the other two 3G models will find their way to Target shelves. This move could help to boost sales at Target, especially during the holiday shopping season, when Best Buy also plans to heavily market the iPad. iPad sales have been strong since release, possibly taking a bite out of low end PC and notebook sales. Analysts have mixed feelings on the issue, with some saying the iPad is a direct reason for declining PC sales, while others feel that it is only one of many reasons contributing. The success of the iPad has caused others to join the tablet party, with releases expected from several manufacturers in the coming months.
