Toshiba releases USB 3.0-capable Canvio external drives
Toshiba stepped up the performance of its external drives through the Canvio 3.0. The portable drives now use USB 3.0 and potentially improve performance for large, sustained transfers on computers with the faster interface. Backwards compatibility keeps them working on USB 2.0.

LG announces its first 3D laptop
LG has unveiled its first notebook capable of presenting stereoscopic 3D content such as movies, games and other graphics. The A510 integrates an 15.6-inch LCD with LED backlighting and 1920x1080 resolution, while Nvidia's GeForce discrete graphics require special polarized glasses to view 3D images.

Lenovo adds new model to ThinkPad Edge series
Lenovo introduced the fourth member of the ThinkPad Edge family, a 11.6-inch model targeting small-to-medium business (SMB) consumers known as Edge 11. The new laptop is 1.1 inch thick, it's based on an Intel platform and runs Microsoft's Windows 7.

Acer upgrades Predator gaming computers for Americans
Acer has added new models to its Aspire Predator gaming series with the mainstream-oriented AG5900-U3902 and the flagship AG7750-U3222. The former was unveiled for Japan earlier this month, and shares many of the major specs with the higher-end model. This includes a quad-core Intel Core i7 CPU, 1.5TB of storage space and Windows 7 Home Premium. The standard CPU in the AG5900 is a 2.93GHz Core i7 combined with 8GB of RAM.
