Sharp announces new e-book readers
Sharp has revealed some new details regarding its plans to enter the ebook reader market, by confirming two devices and a content delivery platform which are scheduled to be launched in Japan this December. Sharp's upcoming store is set to go live with some 30,000 books, news papers and magazines, and is expected to expand so as to include games, movies and other types of multimedia content.

Hackers develop custom operating system for PS3
A member of the PS3Hax forum (http://www.ps3hax.net/2010/09/playos-first-custom-operating-system-for-ps3/) has posted an early screenshots of a custom PlayStation 3 operating system named PlayOS , one that can be installed if you have a jailbroken PS3 console. PlayOS is Linux-based, runs on firmware 3.41 and takes 730MB of external HDD since it runs off the Backup Manager. It also has a built-in dedicated web browser named PlayBrowse .

Sony Ericsson abandons Symbian
Sony Ericsson has confirmed that it has no plans for future Symbian-based smartphones, moving the support over to Android. Symbian remains the most popular smartphone operating system thanks only to Nokia, which still uses it on its smartphones. However, market share for this mobile OS fell to 41.2 percent in the Q2, from 51 percent in the same period last year.

Windows 7 Phone will not support connection sharing at launch
Microsoft has revealed that its upcoming Windows Phone 7 will not support Internet connection sharing with other devices (also known as tethering). The new statement directly contradicts the past statement from the Brandon Watson, the Director for Windows Phone 7, who said the ability would be enabled from launch.

The 8GB module utilizes 40nm-class DDR3 DRAMs in a 64 x 1 gigabit configuration, runs at 1333 MHz and requires 1.5V, the standard for DDR3 memory.
