AMD releases super-high-end FirePro V9800 professional graphics
It looks like the professional graphics market is just starting to be more interesting, because about a month ago Nvidia released Fermi-based Quadro 6000 and 5000 graphics cards, and now AMD is announcing their latest top offer for professionals. Although Nvidia cards were a few months late to the party, they held a measurable performance advantage over FirePro V8800, but the red team has stepped their game up by offering a new workstation card that looks to close the gap while offering multi-monitor support that Nvidia can't match currently.

Super Talent releases USB 3.0 Express RAM Cache flash drives
Super Talent Technology has began shipping two new USB 3.0 compatible flash drives which utilize 32MB of DRAM as buffer to deliver up to 300% higher small block random performance compared to cache-less solutions. Known as USB 3.0 Express RAM Cache, the two drives in question measure 87.5 x 25 x 8 mm , have a SuperSpeed USB interface (as their name reveals), a brushed aluminum enclosure, and are backed by a two-year warranty.

Google TV debuts internationally in 2011
Google has announced that it plans to launch the Google TV platform internationally in 2011, bringing the search engine to Internet-connected HDTVs around the globe. Showing off the technology at the IFA Berlin, Google says it wants to bridge the gap between TV and the Internet. Google TV projects a search bar onto the top of the screen, giving users a chance to surf/search the Web and search live TV listings.

Firefox 4 beta 5 brings security features
Mozilla has released Firefox 4 beta 5, which offers new security features and graphics acceleration capabilities. The latest version supports HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), a security protocol that helps prevent man in the middle attacks. The browser remembers which sites use HSTS, ensuring that any connection attempts use SSL.

New PS3 firmware disables jailbreak
Sony has released the minor firmware update version 3.42, which brings nothing new but blocks the use of PSGroove, the open-source jailbreaking software used to allow homebrew software on the console. Those who don't update to 3.42 can't connect to the PlayStation Network, so Sony is effectively forcing most users to update since online multiplayer is free on PS3.

Cooler Master HAF X: The Largest HAF
Few years ago, Cooler Master presented a new enclosure family with the HAF 932 model (Reviews/Cases/Cooler-Master-HAF-932.html) - High Air Flow. Although very successful, this model has deserved its retirement, now replaced with a restyled and modernised model X. The heir is even larger, with an exterior combining matted black steel and ABS plastic, clearly reminiscent of the HAF line.
