Black Ops Prestige Edition to Include RC-XD Remote Control Car
Treyarch has upped the game a notch and is going to include a remote-control vehicle in its Prestige Edition for Call of Duty: Black Ops. The vehicle dubbed the "RC-XD" is based on the in-game killstreak reward and will feature audio and color video transmission to a remote transmitter, up to 60 feet. The video feed will be displayed on the "pistol grip style" remote control which includes a 220x176 built in 2" color screen. Other features include independent suspension and high and low speed settings.
The Prestige Edition will also contain all the contents of the Hardened edition: the Black Ops game, a SteelBook case, limited-edition Black Ops medal and display case and a special Black Ops avatar outfit for Xbox Live or Playstation Home. The Hardened Edition also includes 4 additional co-op maps not in the standard version of the game, which were revealed today by Treyarch Community Manager Josh Olin to be "all 4 existing [Call of Duty: World at War] Zombies maps."
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige and Hardened Editions are available for pre-order now priced at approximately $79.99 and $149.99 respectively. Interestingly there seems to be no Prestige Edition available for PC, although Treyarch has not yet explained this absence.

Thermaltake-owned Tt eSPORTS has launched its latest product, the MEKA G1 mechanical keyboard. The company unveiled the new keyboard at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. It promises heavy duty performance and a 1000Hz polling rate, which looks to be similar to competitor Razer's 1000Hz Ultrapolling. Tt eSPORTS has not yet released any more details about the MEKA G1 gaming keyboard, nor its pricing or availability, but I'd expect a full reveal soon.

ASUS to Develop AMD Fusion Mini-ITX Board
The folks over at bit-tech got word of a new product being developed by ASUS, a mini-ITX board based on AMD Fusion. AMD Fusion, if you remember, will have a DirectX 11 GPU on the same die as the CPU with the first Fusion product to be named Ontario. The Ontario chip will have an incredibly low TDP, 18 watts or even less, but it will still deliver on the performance front with the numbers expected to be close to an AMD Athlon II X2 250U. This is an attractive option for those wanting a small form factor PC to use as an HTPC as it would mean a system more powerful than Intel Atom will using just as little or even less power. ASUS didn't get into any performance numbers for this particular mini-ITX board but still, the possibilities are nearly endless as to what AMD Fusion can bring to the SFF and HTPC market.

NVIDIA Reports a $141 Million Loss for the Quarter
NVIDIA has just reported its quarterly reports for the fiscal year ending on August 1st, 2010. Things do not look that good as NVIDIA suffered a $141 million loss for the quarter which went from May 2nd to August 1st of this year. The final revenue for the quarter was $811.2 million which was a drop from the first quarter's revenue of $1,001.8 million. The net income dropped $138 million while the net loss was the $141 million. NVIDIA was expecting to lose some money anyway this quarter though it originally had planned a revenue of $950-970 million. That figure was then revised in July to $820 million in which the actual figure was much closer to that then the original estimate. NVIDIA claims that its GTX 400 series is not in high demand which accounts for the loss, though that demand is certainly the opposite for AMD's video card division. For the third fiscal quarter NVIDIA is looking to post a revenue increase of three to five percent so hopefully it can though I feel like if it lowered the price on its products, as is rumored, that NVIDIA won't have to worry about suffering any more big losses.

The tablet will feature an Intel Core 2 Duo, 12 inch touch screen, and a $1,000 price tag. CEO Jerry Shen said "If you want to compete with the iPad, you have to do more than just be less expensive. You have to offer more features." Also in development is another tablet running Windows Embedded Compact 7. It will feature a 10 inch screen, an ARM processor, and should be able to better compete with the iPad at an estimated $499.
