Unannounced GeForce GT 425M revealed in notebook specs
Nvidia's first mainstream GeForce 400 notebook chipset, the GT 425M, has surfaced in leaks earlier this month. This graphics core has been listed as showing in a 17-inch ASUS notebook, but with different features. Some list it as only a DirectX 10 chip, implying that it's only a refreshed 300M chip, while others mention DirectX 11 and that it would use a version of the Fermi architecture in the GTX 480M.

Android 3.1 to be codenamed Honeycomb
According to several reports today, Google's way-in-the-future Android 3.1 update will be named Honeycomb, following their still developing 3.0 update, Gingerbread. Currently, only a handful of smartphones have Google's latest 2.2 Froyo update, so at this point thinking about 3.1 is just a dream. It's likely that it will be more of an incremental upgrade, in the same manner as Android 2.2 (Froyo) was to Android 2.1 (Eclair) as Google seeks to perfect the new platform on tablets and high-end smartphones. That means Android Honeycomb will probably be Android 3.1 or Android 3.2, rather than a leap to the unimaginable magic of Android 4.0.

MSI reveils new Phenom II-based laptop
MSI has released a new version of its 15.6-inch FX600 notebook, this time named FX610. Rather than Intel's Core i5 in the FX600, new FX610 uses an AMD Phenom II chip. At the same time, the 1GB GeForce GT 325M graphics are replaced with a 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5470.

HP confirms WebOS tablet for 2011
During HP's Q3 earnings conference call, the company has confirmed a WebOS-based tablet for 2011. What's interesting is that the company promised a Windows 7 tablet as well. Todd Bradley of HP's Personal Systems Group said that we'll see them with a Microsoft product in the near future, and a WebOS-based product in early 2011.
