VMware links Hyperic, vCenter for app monitoring
EMC VMware today is introducing a SpringSource-branded version of its Hyperic application management software, Hyperic 4.4, which features enhanced integration with the VMware vCenter platform for infrastructure management.
The integration surfaces vCenter information into Hyperic, enabling Hyperic to maintain an inventory of information on VMware vSphere virtualization hosts. Information can be surfaced, such as which virtual machine is running the database.

RIM still working to bring Flash to BlackBerrys
Research In Motion executives said on Tuesday that the company isn't ignoring Flash, but continuing to work with Adobe Systems on bringing support for the multimedia platform on its mobile devices.
RIM unveiled the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone on Tuesday during a press event in New York, but Flash support on the device was not announced. RIM said its latest smartphone runs on the new BlackBerry 6 OS with a WebKit browser, and supports the HTML 5 standard for video playback.
