BFG Tech sending out RMA denial letters; winding down business
Things haven't been looking good for one-time NVIDIA graphics board powerhouse BFG Tech for a while now, but it appears as though the writing is now well and truly on the wall for this once popular company.
It looks like BFG has finally received the final nail within its coffin and is officially “….winding down and liquidating its business” in their own words.  Some of their customers who have recently sent in BFG video cards for RMA have begun receiving the following letter from BFG:

BFG Technologies Inc. is in the process of winding down and liquidating its business.  Unfortunately, our major supplier would not support our business.  As a result, we are returning your graphics card without being able to repair it.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

id Tech 5 only for Bethesda titles
Although its admittedly been losing more and more license wins to Unreal Engine 3 in its current iteration, we've become used to seeing id Software's game engines crop up in a wide variety of titles over the years.  It appears that this will no longer be the case as of their fifth-generation engine however, with id looking to keep the technologies contained within it for themselves and Bethesda Softworks titles.
Launched with great fanfare at QuakeCon 2007, id Tech 5 forms the basis of the studio's flagship Rage title and had been billed as a competitor in the middleware business to the likes of Unreal Engine 3.

Following id Software's acquisition by ZeniMax Media in 2009, however, Hollenshead said that the technology would be reserved for games published by ZeniMax and Bethesda Softworks.

"It's going to be used within ZeniMax, so we're not going to license it to external parties," Hollenshead told Eurogamer at QuakeCon 2010 in Dallas today.

"It's like, look, this is a competitive advantage and we want to keep it within games we publish - not necessarily exclusively to id or id titles, but if you're going to make a game with id Tech 5 then it needs to be published by Bethesda, which I think is a fair thing."

2011 Intel SSD and Sandy Bridge CPU roadmaps leaked
If you're curious as to what Intel have lined up for us later this year and early next in both the CPU and SSD markets, then this leaked roadmap will tell you everything that you want to know.  Everything, that is, apart from prices.
According to MacBidouille the roadmap allegedly reveals a full 19 notebook and desktop processors, all shipping in 2011. Topping the list are several "very low-power" options, ranging from a 35W 2.5GHz dual Core i3 to a quad-core line that includes a 65W 2.5GHZ Core i5 S. The latter quad-core line tops out at 3.4GHz Core i7 (with Turbo-boosted 3.8GHz).

On the notebook side, there's nothing too remarkable aside from a few minor upgrades to existing lines: Dual-cores will hit 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7GHz (the two former being i5, latter being i7). Quad-cores will remain in the domain of the desktop, as they are still too energy-hungry to be effective in a portable notebook form factor. "Desktop replacement" notebook behemoths are still a go, however, should that computing path blow your hair back.
