[Rumour] GeForce GTS 450 in September; clock speeds revealed

Turkish website Donanimhaber report that NVIDIA's next release, GeForce GTS 450, will now release on September 13th, pushed back two weeks from initial expectations of late-August. In addition, the early clock speed estimates run at 789 MHz core, 3760 MHz for 1GB GDDR5 memory over a 128-bit memory bus.

AMD overtakes NVIDIA in discrete GPU shipments
vr-zone.com - It has been a long time coming - AMD GPG has finally managed to oust NVIDIA in terms of discrete GPU market share. With the dominant GeForce 8000 series in 2006/07, who would have predicted such a major turnaround?
The first signs were the HD 4000 series vs. GeForce 200 series battle. AMD's products were clearly more efficient, with NVIDIA competing with much larger dies. Still, aggressive pricing and strong marketing meant NVIDIA retained their grip on the market share. With HD 5000 series vs. GeForce 400 series, the gap has widened very wide, with NVIDIA more than half a generation late. It should come as no surprise then, that AMD took a 51% share in Q2 2010, with NVIDIA at 49%.

AMD Ontario TDP well below 25W
vr-zone.com - A source of Xbitlabs has responded to recent rumours that claim AMD's first Fusion APU, Ontario, will have a TDP of 18W or even 25W for the dual core. The source, said to be close to AMD, has stated that categorizing Ontario as "18W or 25W is not reasonable and well outside the margin of error". The exact power consumption was not mentioned but it is reported to be well below the rumoured figures of 18/25W.
