Apple has released the 5.0.1 version of Safari, enabling the use of Extensions - tools built with HTML5, CSS3 or JavaScript that can add extra functionality to the browser. The Safari Extensions Gallery has also been opened to the public so it can browse and choose what additions to make.

Yahoo! Japan switches to Google search engine
