Microsoft has divulged the names of at least five manufacturers who are planning to offer Windows Phone 7 devices. Rebuild my Dell Inspiron 9100 Laptop.
I did rebuilt it. It got a new motherboard (it is Inspiron XPS Gen 1 board) and has a new Pentium 4 "northwood" 3.20C GHz 800MHz FSB and 512KB at full speed L2 Caches, 1 GB DDR at 400 MHz, and new ATI Mobility Radeon 128 MB DDR video card. It did run much faster and much like brand new. It seem better than old and tired board (old Inspiron 9100 board). So far, no problems with. good news is it got a addition 1 hour to my battery run up to 3.5 hours on battery when unplug from AC. My Dell Inspiron 9100 is 6 years old but got brand new parts inside under the keyboard/laptop.

Earlier this week, a new blog post from Terry Myerson, corporate vice president, Windows Phone Engineering, appeared that mentioned Asus, LG, and Samsung as makers of Windows Phone 7 prototype devices as well. HTC, Samsung, LG, Dell, and Asus have been suspected as likely makers of Windows Phone 7 devices, but only recently did Microsoft confirm this via a blog post and comments from Lees.
Rumor has it the Windows Phone 7 devices will be available in November, just in time for the holiday season. Thus far, Microsoft has only confirmed they will ship in time for the holiday season.

AT&T Has Great Q2, Activates A Record Amount of iPhones
It's that time of year again. Or, that time of quarter, we should say. It's the time of year where companies dish out their most recent quarterly earnings. And while Microsoft, Intel and AMD have already had their turn, now it's time for AT&T to share in the glory. The company, which AT&T Mobility is ushered under, just had one heck of a quarter, with strong revenues, profits and loads of iPhone adds.According to AT&T, they had 1.6Â million organic net adds in total wireless subscribers, which was a record for Q2 adds. That helped them to reach 90.1 million in service, but here's the major part: 3.2 million iPhone activations occurred in the second quarter. In case you were wondering, that's a new company record for the amount of iPhones activated in a single quarter. And we still have yet to see or feel the full impact of the iPhone 4, despite the antenna issues.
The company also saw best-ever wireless churn levels, with 1.01 percent postpaid churn and 1.29 percent total churn. All told, the company saw a 10.3 percent increase in wireless service revenues, with postpaid subscriber ARPU (average monthly revenues per subscriber) up 3.4 percent. And if you didn't think that WWAN devices were growing in popularity, how's this? AT&T had a 2.9 million net increase in 3G postpaid integrated devices on AT&T’s wireless network to reach 29.7 million. Needless to say, the company ended the quarter on a high note, but even with the cash flowing in, that hasn't stopped them from instituting new data caps for smartphones. Where there's a will, there's a way, even to make money (or make customers angry).
