EA confirms American McGee's Alice 2
We normally groan at the thought of yet more game sequels here, but in this particular case the prospect of a second American McGee's Alice game is a potentially promising one if they do the job right.
Electronic Arts has officially announced a new game, Alice: Madness Returns, confirming it as a sequel to American McGee's Alice - a game about Alice, by American McGee.
The first Alice was a grim retelling of the Alice in Wonderland stories, with Alice cast as a mentally unstable goth struggling to deal with her own fantasy world. Madness Returns is set pick up on a similar note, albeit a decade afterwards.
"After spending a decade institutionalized in an insane asylum, [Alice] is finally released to the care of a psychiatrist who just may be able to help her conquer the nightmarish hallucinations that still haunt her," reads the official press release.
