Cooler Master Choiix Comforter Lapdesk
As I'm sitting here on my couch typing this on my laptop, I can feel the burn. Unfortunately, it's not from physical exercise, but rather the heat from the laptop starting to make my lap rather toasty. Choiix, a division of Cooler Master, has come up with a product designed to make using a laptop a cool and comfortable experience. While there are a myriad of notebook coolers out there, both passive and active, most of them are designed mainly for desktop use. The Choiix Comforter Lapdesk has been designed specifically to be used comfortably on your lap yet can be reversed for table or desktop use. The Comforter Lapdesk is designed to fit all 9” to 17” notebook computers and has four non-skid buttons placed strategically on the surface to ensure your notebook computer stays in place. Not only will the Comforter keep your lap cool, its sweeping arc design facilitates airflow for efficient cooling of your laptop. Choiix did not announce availability or pricing.

World's Thinnest OLED Screen
Sony, leading manufacturer of all things electronic, has unveiled the world's thinnest OLED screen today. How thin is it? Well, it is so thin that it can be wrapped around a pencil. That's right, this OLED screen is flexible enough to be wrapped around a pencil all while displaying a video. The OLED screen is 80μm-thick which puts it just a little bit thinner than a human hair. The whole screen measures in at 4.1 inches while having a resolution of 432 x 240. The contrast ratio is just a bit under 1000:1 for the screen. The main thing today is exactly how thin this screen is and also that it can display a video while being rolled up. Seems to me like Sony has something on its hands with this flexible OLED screen. I can only imagine some of the products that could use this in the future.

Samsung to Launch SSD Camcorder
Samsung is launching a new camcorder in South Korea today, one that records directly onto a solid state drive. Not only does it pack an SSD for storage but it can also stream video over WiFi so you do not need to plug it into your computer to watch your video. The camcorder will come in a 32 and a 64GB model but we will not have long to wait to get it here. It is out in South Korea today but for the U.S, the 64GB model will ship on May 28th and the 32GB model on June 4th. Each version has a 10 megapixel CMOS chip, 1080/60i recording capability, and a 3.5 inch LCD touchscreen.
The 64GB model, the HMX-S16, will cost you $1,200 while the 32GB model, the HMX-S15, will only be $1,000. The only difference between the two is the size of the SSD, so you are not losing any features. Just storage space.
