Here comes the moment, where Apple finally refreshes its MacBook Pro line of laptops with Intel's latest Core i5 and Intel Core i7 mobile processors. It took Apple this long, no thanks to a processor shortage. And, we have NVIDIA joining the party too, with their Optimus Technology.

[Rumour] GTX 400 availability to stay limited indefinitely
It is 13th April, and our worst fears seem to be coming true. While the GTX 470/480 cards are listed in most e-tail stores, very few, if any, have any stocks at this point. Some e-tailers did get a small quantity, which were sold out within minutes as expected. Fudzilla reports that Nvidia AIC partners have told them they received four times less cards than they pre-sold to distributors and (r)etailers.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T BE Benchmarks leaked
The first benchmarks of AMD's upcoming Phenom II X6 processors have been leaked on Coolaler's forums. There aren't very many formal benchmarks of real world applications, but it does give an idea as to where the Phenom II X6 processors are heading performance-wise.
As we know, the Phenom II X6's six cores means it is going to be a force to reckon with in multi-threaded applications. However, plenty of applications out there are still restricted to using two to four threads - such as several games. In these applications, the Core i7 quad core products are likely to end up faster.

Asus Matrix HD 5870 overclocked past 1.5 GHz
Resident overclocker at Asus, Marcus "Kinc" Hultin and his Swedish compatriot and fellow master overclocker Jon "Elmor" Sandstrom, have pushed a graphics card past the magical 1500 Mhz barrier for the first time. The card in question is an Asus ROG Matrix HD 5870 2GB.
The duo managed to overclock it from the default clock of 894 MHz to an incredible 1525 MHz. The RAM was overclocked to just 1300 MHz though.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 and GeForce GTX 480 cards hit retail on schedule in Singapore

After much delays, NVIDIA's next-gen graphics cards were launched on 26 March 2010. Availability however, was pushed back to 12 April 2010. Many expect a 'no-show' by NVIDIA on the 12th, but Gigabyte has dropped some GeForce GTX 470 and GeForce GTX 480 cards on the shores of sunny island Singapore.
