Bono to make millions on rumoured Palm sale :: Posted by THRASHER2
Yes, that Bono
U2 frontman Bono is expected to make up to millions on the sale of troubled smartphone maker Palm.
According to irishcentral.com, Elevation Partners, Bono's private equity company, has a massive stake in Palm and as share prices are driven up by the impending buyout, the singer turned philanthropist seems bound to make a small fortune.
Elevation Partners invested $425 million in Palm back in 2007 and 2008 and it apparently has a 41 percent stake in the smartphone maker. Palm shares have jumped 32 percent in the past week and rumours of a possible sale are fueling further growth. According to some estimates, Elevation Partners could make up to $500 million on the Palm sales.
Perhaps Bono could use the windfall to pay back some third world debt, as he has been a prominent campaigner for third world debt relief for years.

Dual-channel at 2.5GHz
G.Skill has rolled out its newest Trident series kit that works at stunning 2500MHz. The kit comes as a dual-channel DDR3 setup and targets Intel P55-based systems.
The precise specifications of the new Trident kit rates it at 2500MHz with CL 9-11-9-28 at 1.65V. G.Skill has designed this kit in cooperation with Asus and are best used with Intel's Core i7 860 and 870 CPUs on Asus P7P55D-E Deluxe and P7P55D-E EVO motherboards.
We are sure that other manufacturers will join the 2500MHz memory market but for now, G.Skill can happily brag it's leader of the pack. Unfortunately, price or the availability date haven't been announced but we guess that these specifications will be anything but cheap.
