Cooler Master Vortex Plus: A Vortex of Good Cooling
Summer approaches, slowly but steadily, and with it an increased interest of PC owners for better cooling for their electronic pets. Regardless of whether a particular user is a fan of overclocking or not, a high-quality CPU cooler is always an interesting topic before hot summer months arrive, and it’s of special significance to provide good, but quiet cooling for a home theatre (HTPC) computer, which, on one hand, mustn’t have an audible noise output, and on the other hand, usually isn’t positioned in a very well-cooled place, so increased heat output is to be expected.

Thermaltake Frio
When Thermaltake asked if I wanted to take a look at their latest creation, the Thermaltake Frio cooler, it really got me interested. Featuring a total of five wide diameter 8 mm U-shaped heatpipes, swappable fans, and what appears to be a solid design, I won't even try to deny the fact that I am extremely excited to give it a shot and see how it performs in the real world. Is the Thermaltake Frio a high performance cooler that will appeal to overclockers and silent PC enthusiasts alike, or is it oversaturated 'just another heatsink' market? OCZ Agility 2 SandForce-1200 SSD
The Agility 2 is OCZ's standard SF-1200 SSD, using the same firmware that's been made available to all of SandForce's partners. The performance of this drive should tell us what we can expect from all other SF-1200 drives on the market. My Vertex 2 sample won't be here until next week. I also received a reference SF-1200 drive from SandForce to verify the performance results. LINK (http://www.anandtech.com/show/3663/this-just-in-ocz-agility-2-sandforce1200-ssd)

ASUS Designo Series MS238H 23-in LCD Monitor
From the moment that you take it out of the box, the most striking feature of the MS238H is how thin and light it is. With the entire monitor measuring just 16.5mm thick, it is one of the thinnest monitors that I have ever used. Also, this display weighs in at about 8.60lbs, making it a few pounds lighter than most 23 class monitors. LINK (http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=902)

A look at new SSDs from Corsair, Kingston, Plextor and WD
Occasionally, I'll consider the sort of world-beating machine I'd assemble if money were no object. But I'm a realist at heart, and most of the time I end up contemplating a sweet spot rig—the perfect mix of components that I'd actually buy if tasked with building myself a new desktop.
