Official AMD Phenom II X6 Prices Divulged?

ADVANTI, a Bahrain-located etailer has divulged (what it claims are) the official prices of two of the upcoming AMD hexa-core Phenom II CPUs. First up is the Phenom II X6 1090T with a clock speed of 3.2GHz, a 9MB total cache, a TDP of 125W and a reported retail price of $295. Next up is the lower-end 1055T which is identical to the 1090T but runs at 2.8GHz and should retail for $195. Both hexa-cores mentioned (as well as the rest of the X6 series) are compatible with the AM3 socket and DDR3 memory. The 1090T, being a Black Edition CPU also features an unlocked multiplier and it is also expected that the 1055T will be available in a 95W variant. There are also two other models in the Phenom II hexa-core series from AMD, the 1035T and the 1075T with clock speeds and TDPs ranging from 2.6GHz to 3GHz and 95W to 125W. All CPUs are based on the AMD 45nm "Thurban" architecture and should be released late next month.

JVC Launches a Bluetooth Enabled Camcorder

At CES 2010 this year, JVC announced a new camcorder, the Everio GZ-HM550. This camcorder comes with a 10.6 megapixel CMOS sensor, 32GB of built in storage, an SD/SDHC slot, Bluetooth module and geotagging capability. The Bluetooth module will allow you to control the camera’s zoom, play, and record functions as well as geotag areas with a compatible cellphone. If you are so inclined, you can also sync a Bluetooth headset to the camcorder to listen to the recorded sound or add your own voice to the film. The camcorder can also record in 1080p, zoom up to 16 times, and take 9 megapixel still shots.

The camcorder will go on sale this spring for $799.95. A touch pricey for a camcorder, but it is loaded with features that most others do not have.

ASUS Designo LED Monitors Announced

On Friday, ASUS announced a new range of monitor series known as "Designo". The series will be debuting with four monitors - the MS248, MS238, MS228 and MS208. These will be ASUS' 'Eco-friendly' mercury-free LED monitors. The monitors screen sizes range from 23.6" to 20", with the later 20" monitor utilising a resolution of 1600x900 while the rest have a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080. They have the typical brightness of 250 cd/m2 with a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 10,000,000:1. All the monitors consume 1W of power in Standby mode. The monitors themselves are relatively thin at 16.5mm, and implement ASUS' new ergonomic Ergo-Fit Technology spherical ring.
