Asus confirms motherboard sales down
Asustek Computer confirms that the motherboard sales in Europe are not so great and the company has reduced its own-brand motherboard shipments target from 1.9 million units to 1.75 million units. However, their rival Gigabyte said that it is on track to ship 1.7 million own-brand motherboards in March, while MSI and ECS each expect to ship 700,000 own-brand units.

MS says Xbox 360 doesn't need Blu-ray
Site CVG has an interview with Stephen McGill from Microsoft Xbox and Entertainment, who has made it clear that digital media is the future, and not Blu-ray discs. Says McGill: We have no plans to adopt Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360. In fact, the future of home entertainment started last autumn when Xbox 360 became the first and only console to offer instant-on 1080p streaming HD movies .

Arctic Cooling introducess Accelero XTREME 5870 & 5970
Swiss company Arctic Cooling has officially launched two new Accelero XTREME coolers, one compatible with the Radeon HD 5870 and one with the HD 5970. Both coolers feature three 92mm fans working at 900-2000 RPM and pre-applied MX-2 thermal paste, but the HD 5870 models measures 290 x 104 x 56 mm and packs 5 copper heatpipes and 84 aluminum fins, while the HD 5970 version is 290 x 104 x 58 mm and has 8 heatpipes and 119 fins.

Rumours say multitasking comes to iPhone 4.0
Site AppleInsider is citing anonymous sources in reporting that the iPhone OS 4.0 release will allow users to launch and access multiple applications at once, including those from third-party developers. Additionally, they have reported that version 4.0 of the iPhoneOS will borrow elements of the MacOS X interface to present and manage multiple active applications.
