No upgrade path from Mob Win 6 to 7
It is likely that many Windows Mobile 6 users are waiting to be able to upgrade to Windows Phone 7 when it is released. Well, the word is that Microsoft has decided there will be no upgrade path when the new version of the OS is released. Due to the very specific hardware requirements necessary to power and support the Windows Phone 7 experience, there is not going to be any upgrade path. This does include the HTC HD2, which does seem to meet all of the requirements to support Windows Phone 7, with the exception that it does have three buttons.

Chrome going up, IE keeps going down
According to Net Applications data, Chrome is eating away at at Microsoft Internet Explorer's marketshare, where Google's browser took away 0.4 points from Microsoft. Chrome had 5.6 per cent of the market which was an increase from 5.2 percent in January. Internet Explorer continued its crawling decline, from 62.1 percent to 61.6 percent. Mozilla Firefox dropped from 24.4 percent to 24.2 percent and Safari dropped from 4.5 percent to 4.4 percent, according to Net Applications.

Intel tweaks the boxed cooler for LGA 775
Intel has recently revealed plans to change the design of the Fan Heat-sink Assembly (FHSA), or the cooler included in boxed versions of LGA 775 processors. The new model is set to come with multiple tweaks compared to the currently-used solution, such as a slightly smaller impeller and the heatsink a bit more compact with height decreased from 18.9 mm to 18.47mm.

MSI has announced an AMD 890GX+SB850 motherboard called 890GXM-G65, featuring a micro ATX form. The board supports AM3 processors and utilizes military-grade components such as solid state capacitors and chokes. Sony says PS3 is still in first quarter of its lifespan
Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton has made it clear this weekend that the PlayStation 4 is not coming any time soon. Tretton says the PS3 is only in the first 25% to 30% of this generation, meaning there is at least 6 more years before a PS4 is sitting on retail shelves.

All American Android phones will update to 2.1
AndroidAndMe has reported that all American Android smartphones will be receiving an update to firmware version 2.1, although some will have features missing. Notably included is the now aging T-Mobile G1, the first Android phone ever, which is still currently running firmware 1.6, like many other devices.
