AT&T Taking $1B Non-Cash Charge For Health Care
AT&T says it is taking a $1 billion non-cash charge to cover changes brought on by the new health care bill. The company also says it may cut prescription drug coverage and other benefits offered to current and retired workers. AT&T also said Friday that it is looking into changing the health care benefits it offers because of the new law. Analysts say retirees could lose the prescription drug coverage provided by their former employers as a result of the overhaul. Comments

House Bans File Sharing By Government Employees
Wait a minute, didn't the house already pass a bill banning p2p file-sharing software? Is this something new? Maybe they were they just talking about it before and now just finally got around to making it official. The House has passed a bill that would prevent government employees from using peer-to-peer file-sharing software either in the office or when accessing government networks remotely from home. The Secure Federal File Sharing Act, introduced by Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., in November, calls for the Office of Management and Budget to ban the use of applications like BitTorrent or Limewire on government PCs and networks. Comments

Line2 gives your iPhone a second phone number — a second phone line, complete with its own contacts list, voice mail, and so on. The company behind it, Toktumi (get it?), imagines that you'll distribute the Line2 number to business contacts, and your regular iPhone number to friends and family.
