Lonely Gamers Pay to Play With Dirty Girls
To be honest, I thought this story was a joke but apparently it is very real. I just don't get it, paying girls to play games with you? Ugh. Signing up is free, but Players must purchase credits in order to get their game on. For $8.25 Players get 500 credits, which is enough for one game (400 credits) and a 100 credit tip at the end. 50 Places Running Linux That You Might Not Expect
Focus has posted a really interesting list of 50 places running Linux. Some of the companies and places on the list are obvious but others just may surprise you. Linux is hovering just beneath 1% of the overall market share in operating systems. And although that might sound like a small number, Linux is far more than just a fringe OS. In fact, it's running in quite a few more places than you probably suspect. Below are fifty places Linux is running today in place of Windows or Mac. Comments

Lawmakers Eyeing National ID Card
Here we go again with that National ID Card stuff again. Anyone here believe the government can actually make a high-tech, fraud-proof ID card? We would require all U.S. citizens and legal immigrants who want jobs to obtain a high-tech, fraud-proof Social Security card. Each card's unique biometric identifier would be stored only on the card; no government database would house everyone's information. Comments

James Cameron Hates Commercials on His DVDs, Too
While I am glad Mr. Cameron thinks this way, it is a shame a movie has to make over a billion dollars to be exempt from all the crap filler they put on DVDs. People that pirate movies get to watch them immediately. People that legally buy movies get 5 warnings that can't be skipped, 10 movie trailers and 1 long ass Blu-ray commercial just to get to the menu. I have a deal with Fox that any time my movies make over a billion dollars I can leave the crap trailers off the DVD. Comments

Octopus Prefer HDTV
Yesterday it was cows getting HDTVs, today it is octopus. I'm not sure I want to know what tomorrow brings. Researchers from the Sydney Institute of Marine Science found that by playing video on a liquid crystal high definition television for gloomy octopuses (Octopus tetricus), they could accurately see how the animals reacted to prey (a crab), a new object (a jar), and a potential predator (another octopus), responses usually only seen in the ocean. Thermaltake Level 10 Unboxing
Wait, did I read that headline right? An unboxing (with video) for a case? If it is the $700 Thermaltake Level 10, designed in collaboration with BMW, the answer is "hell yeah!" Thermaltake is wanting to impress quality upon its customer from the moment we open the box, and I have to say it succeeded in doing that. Then again when you are thinking about spending $700 on a computer chassis, you had better damn well be impressed from the moment you break the tape. Comments

Eyefinity Fun For the Whole Family
I've been messing around with my new Eyefinity set up for most of the week and I have to say my 3x1 set-up (in both landscape and portrait configurations) really is the way to go. I've been playing the same games we used in this video and the new Unigine Heaven 2.0 demo we posted earlier today and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. Set up was way easier than I thought, I literally used our own Eyefinity guide to get up and running in no time. Now, on the other side of the Eyefinity coin, Kyle has been testing a 3x2 Eyefinity set up for over a week now and let's just say he is less than impressed with the experience. The last thing I heard come out of his office was something about "!@# bezels!" Comments

They said just two of Gonzalez's computer servers contained more than 40 million distinct credit and debit card numbers. Comments
