Top 10 Endearing Habits of a Geeky Spouse
Last week we posted a link to the ten bad habits geeks have, this week it is the top ten endearing habits of a geeky spouse. While it is true we may be "tech support" for all of our friends and family, I'm not so sure you guys like it as much as this guy thinks. Providing technical support to friends and family. We may grumble and sigh about doing it so often, and we may get frustrated when our in-laws don't know the difference between WEP and WPA. But don't be fooled: We actually enjoy this on some level. Everyone — geeks included — likes to be needed, and geeks also love few things more than to look like an expert. Comments

Why @ Is Held in Such High Design Esteem
Who knew the @ symbol was worthy of the Museum of Modern Art in New York? Whatever its origins, the @ appeared on the keyboard of the first typewriter, the American Underwood, in 1885 and was used, mostly in accounting documents, as shorthand for "at the rate of." It remained an obscure keyboard character until 1971 when an American programmer, Raymond Tomlinson, added it to the address of the first e-mail message to be sent from one computer to another. Solar Roadways Provide A Glimpse Of The Future
Imagine a future in which all the roads are made from "electric glass" and would have the ability to improve road vision at night, power to homes and business in the day, and melt snow and ice during inclement weather, Each Solar Road Panel features a weatherproof, translucent road surface layer, an electronics layer containing LEDs and solar cells, and a base plate layer that distributes power to homes and businesses connected to the roadway. In addition to generating power, the road panels have one big advantage over traditional asphalt: they are self-heating, which means snow and ice don't accumulate on top of the road.
