PC-Fax Directly from Adobe Acrobat PDF
We here at Benchmark Reviews are probably just like you, when we hear digital communication we think e-mail, Facebook, twitter, or maybe a discussion forum. But there is a form of digital communication that predates all of these: the facimile. There are times when you just have to send a fax. Financial, legal, and medical matters often require that a signed form or letter be sent via fax. OK, but what if you don't own a fax machine? It seems that fewer and fewer of us have fax machines these days, especially with the growth of e-mail and web-based fax services. But what if you don't have one of these either? Well, luckily for us, Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 include a fax service. And Adobe Acrobat provides a perfect multiplatform application from which to fax. With Windows an Acrobat PDF file, you can fax directly from your PC. We're not only going to show you how to use the Windows fax service, we're also going to review a simple USB fax modem hardware solution from Rosewill if your computer didn't come with one.
