
Nvidia: Mainstream Fermi in "mid-part of the year"
While Nvidia's is releasing its high end Geforce GTX 400 series products on March 26th, possibly a paper launch, David White, CFO of Nvidia, is already talking about the mainstream derivatives of Fermi.
Fermi will show up as the GeForce and Tesla first and it will definitely show up first in the highest-performance configuration. Sometime in the mid-part of the year we will see a lower-cost version of that come out both for Quadro and Tesla, said David White, at Goldman Sachs Technology Conference.

[Rumour] AMD Phenom II X6 to release on April 26th
AMD is all set to release its first six-core CPUs, codenamed Thuban, branded the Phenom II X6 1000T series, on April 26th. The Phenom II X6 CPUs is expected to be shown at Cebit 2010 next week.
The schedule fits in with the release of AMD's 800 series motherboards, which are expected to support Phenom II X6 CPUs fully. Older 700 series are likely to support the six-core CPUs, probably with a BIOS upgrade.
