The offering ranges from their FX gaming-targeted models, to the DX mini-tower, SX (small form factor), and ZX all-in-one series systems. All models ship with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, which is a nice touch and will come in handy addressing the rather stout system memory build-outs that are configured with the systems. The FX models are your standard gaming PC offering but with some all

Motorola DEVOUR Brings MOTOBLUR Android Skin To Verizon
AT&T could be in a world of trouble. Just a year ago, the carrier was going around bragging about just how many smartphones were being used on their network compared to the competition, but in reality, that was just a ploy to brag about the iPhone being available on their network alone. Things are different today, and the cards are being stacked against them more and more each day, it seems.Today, Motorola introduced its second Android-based phone on the USA's largest wireless operator in terms of customers:

Sony Ericcson Goes Business With WinMo 6.5.3 Aspen Smartphone
It's hard to guess how much traction Sony Ericsson's GreenHeart lineup will gather, but we have to admit that the newest member is a real looker. Atypical for Sony Ericcson, the Aspen is a business phone. Not a fashion phone. Not a clamshell phone. Not an Android phone. It's apparently aimed for the corporate folks who have avoided the BlackBerry bug thus far, but we have to wonder just how big that segment still is. Anyway, SE talks up this phone's ability to "multitask," which is something the iPhone has been

Acer Introduces 23.6" GD235HZ 3D 1080p LCD Monitor
3D is here to stay, like it or not. Well, it's here to stay for awhile anyway, depending on whether or not consumer demand sticks around to support it. Films like Avatar have proven that there is at least some demand for 3D in cinemas, but the at-home 3D market is still a huge question mark. Evidently Acer doesn't mind the risks, as the company has just introduced a new LCD monitor that's actually aimed specifically at prospective customers who are looking to play their PC games with added depth. The GD235HZ

Southwest Finalizes In-Flight Wi-Fi Plans For Q2 2010
In-flight Wi-Fi has been around for a few years now, but only in limited circumstances. Just a few airlines have bought in, and even then, in-flight Wi-Fi is only available on select routes. It's definitely a fledgling technology, and we can certainly see it expanding rapidly in the coming years and more and more passengers make clear that Internet is more important than food.We kid, we kid. Southwest Airlines has finally announced that their in-flight Internet plans are back on track, after dealing with a number

It's apparently aimed for the corporate folks who have avoided the BlackBerry bug thus far, but we have to wonder just how big that segment still is. Anyway, SE talks up this phone's ability to "multitask," which is something the iPhone has been slammed for not supporting. This is also the first smartphone out to come pre-loaded with Windows Mobile 6.5.3, which is likely a stopgap version until Windows Mobile 7 arrives later this year (hopefully).

It also supports Office document editing and comes loaded with a-GPS, Google Maps, a 3.2MP camera, a full QWERTY keyboard (which is particularly unusual on an SE phone), PlayNow software for accessing music/apps, a media browser and a choice of colors (black/white or silver). It'll support AT&T's 3G bands but will likely be sold in unlocked form only when it ships in Q2.

Google Adds Multi-Touch To Nexus One Android Phone, More To Come?
Take a step back and inhale. Nexus One owners have just become the first group of Android users to get a taste of native multi-touch here in the United States, and it has definitely been a long time coming. Android has proven itself as one of the most capable mobile operating systems on the market, but the lack of multi-touch really hindered its ability to go toe-to-toe with webOS and iPhone OS.

Google announced this week that Nexus One users will begin to receive an over-the-air software update on their phones, and while it's still unclear when other Android 2.0+ phones will receive the same update, early impressions from existing Nexus One owners are very positive. Google Maps and the web browser both support pinch-to-zoom, just like on the iPhone, and both work seamlessly.

A slew of other new features are hitting on the update, but unfortunately it is being pushed out in waves so you'll need to be patient. Good luck with that!

Google Goggles:this mobile application will now be available directly on your deviceby launching it from your All Apps menu. Just use your Nexus One camerato start searching the web

Google Maps: the Maps application with be updated to a new version, Google Maps 3.4, which will include:
  • Starred items synchronized with maps.google.com - access your favorite places from your phone or computer
  • Search suggestions from your personal maps.google.com history - makes it easy to search for places you've searched for before
  • Night mode in Google Maps Navigation - automatically changes your screen at night for easier viewing and driving
Pinch-to-zoom functionality: devices will now include a new pinch-to-zoom mechanism in the phone's Browser, Gallery and Maps applications

3G connectivity: we will provide a general fix to help improve 3G connectivity on some Nexus One phones

Inorder to access the update, you will receive a message on your phone'snotification bar. Just download the update, wait for it to install, andyou should be all set. This update will be rolled out gradually tophones - and most users might not receive the notification until theend of the week. We hope you enjoy these new features and look forwardto your feedback.

CBS Brings 3D Ads To NY's Grand Central Station
You heard it here first: 2010 is the year of the tablet, and the year that 3D went overboard. Most of the world hasn't even decided if they want to view content in 3D, and already companies are making extreme efforts to bring more and more of it into the public view. CBS has just introduced its first-ever high-definition 3D projection display as part of a wild new out-of-home advertising campaign.

The board utilizes "state-of-the-art 3D technology and a custom theatre-like environment created exclusively for this outdoor advertising campaign," which is used to bring 3D commercials to around 70000 commuters that pass by the display every day. It will only be active from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM each day, and the other times plain ole 2D commercials will be displayed.

What's unique about this solution is that it's a glasses-free solution. According to CBS, the "3D dioramas appear dimensional to the naked eye, giving the impression you can see around certain elements of the creative." The New York billboard campaign, which will span the entire month of February, includes more than 100 pieces of client media. Is anyone going to be around to give it a glance? We can't say this is worth making a trip to NYC for, but if you're in the area and looking for something fresh to stare at...

"CBS Outdoor is very proud to debut this revolutionary new step inoutdoor advertising in one of the nation's highest-profile locations:Grand Central Station," said David Lane, vice president Digital Media CBS Outdoor. آ "And we're thrilled to be doing so with Visa, whose 'Go World'high-definition 3D commercials will create a one-of-a-kind brandexperience as well as a show-stopping moment for millions of commuters.آ The interest and fascination in 3D technology has grown tremendously, and we're pleased to have partnered with N4D in bringing thistheatrical quality experience to such an iconic destination."

"Working with CBS Outdoor is a tremendous opportunity for N4D," said Clif Parker, chief executive officer, N4D. آ "Their best-in-class campaigns andwillingness to innovate at the leading edge of outdoor advertising area perfect match for N4D. آ We look forward to building a strong,long-term partnership with CBS Outdoor and together pushing theboundaries of what digital outdoor advertising can become."
