One of my most-used tools is Telestream's ScreenFlow. I use it for everything from Macworld Videos, such as last week's 1Password/Dropbox tutorial, to recording small 'how to' movies for use in Macworld Hints blog entires. I've even used it to record how-to videos for friends and family--it's often quicker to do that than it would be to create a complex email explaining the steps.
