Microsoft confirms Windows Mobile 7 at MWC 2010

Microsoft posts strong revenue on Windows 7 success
Microsoft ended a string of disappointing quarterly financial results yesterday, as it announced the numbers for its second quarter of fiscal 2010 yesterday, which ended on December 31 2009. Fueled by a strong demand for Windows 7 and well-managed costs, the company saw a 14% jump in revenue to just over $19 billion, while profit rose an astounding 60% to 6.6 billion.

AMD, Intel six-core processors to arrive starting March
AMD has made no secret of their plans to release at least one six-core desktop processor in 2010, codenamed Thuban. Intel on the other hand hasn't been as forthcoming, but thanks to numerous leaks, and even some early benchmark results, we do know the company has a 32nm six-core chip up its sleeve, which is dubbed Gulftown and will be branded as Core i7 980X.
