Richtek files patent infringement complaint in US against AMD and graphics card makers
It's hardly a new phenomenon to see a company trying to use their portfolio of patents (usually taken out against blatantly obvious technologies or uses of them) to make legal claims against big-name companies in the sole hope of making a pretty penny, yet somehow it never gets any less depressing when it actually happens.آ Taiwan-based Richtek are the latest to try this particular ruse.
The patents involved in the dispute are US patents No. 7315190, 6414470 and 7132717.
