SilverStone Reveals Fortress FT02 Chassis

SilverStone has revealed its newest PC chassis, the Fortress FT02. The Fortress is a cross between the uni-body design of the Temjin TJ07 and the 90 degree rotated motherboard of the Raven RV01. The new case features a padded interior to reduce noise, two 5.25" and five 3.5" drive bays and three 180mm fans for optimum cooling. The case is constructed from 4.5mm thick aluminum which helps add durability whilst maintaining portability. The Fortress supports EATX motherboards up to 11 inches wide and a dual ATI Radeon HD 5970 set-up if desired. The whole case measures 212mm x 497mm x 616mm (W x H x D) and will be available in either black or silver. The SilverStone Fortress FT02 will launch just before Christmas and is expected to retail at under US$300.

The x86 based chip was demoed at the Intel Developer Forum, but it is behind where Intel would like in development. Users will just have to settle for the offerings from ATI and Nvidia a little while longer.
