YouTube to stream TV episodes for a fee
Google is negotiating with the media industry to stream individual TV episodes via YouTube, for a fee. YouTube currently has TV shows available, for free but with advertisements, however now appears as if Google wants to expand the business model into flat-rate video playback with no commercials. The episodes will cost $1.99 USD each and will be available the day after they broadcast on TV.

Leaked picture of Radeon HD 5670
After the successful debut of mid- and high-end DirectX 11-supporting graphics cards, AMD now prepares the first low-end model for the masses. The new card named Radeon HD 5670 should come in Q1 2010, and the first picture has just leaked on the Internet.

Intel propers the firmware for 34nm SSD drives
Slighty later than expected, Intel finally provides a new firmware for its 34nm G2 solid-state drives, which enables the proper TRIM support for these devices. The 2CV102HD release can be used for X25-M and X18-M drives.

Universal to present hybrid Blu-Ray/DVD discs in January
Universal Studios is planning to release hybrid optical discs with a dual-layered DVD side and a Blu-Ray side, again in two layers. First releases are planned for January 19 and will include the Bourne trillogu, starring Matt Damon as Jason Bourne.

Microsoft planing Office 2010 for June
Microsoft revealed plans to make Office 2010 available to the public in June 2010 for PC, while Mac users will get the updated software in the second half of the year. Office 2010 is now available in beta edition, and it will make debut in six different versions: Starter, Home and Student, Home and Business, Standard, Pro and Pro Plus, where the first one is free and ad-supported. In the same month of 2010, Internet users will get Office Web Applications, web-based versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Transcend released a new member of its JetFlash USB drive family. New JetFlash 600 features dual-channel controller which enables read and write speeds of up to 32 MB/s and 18 MB/s, respectively. The drive weights merely 8.5 grams, it's compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 and comes with a glossy finish. Samsung produces 3-bit MLC NAND in 30nm
Samsung Electronics announced the start of 3-bit multi-level cell NAND memory chip mass production using 30nm technology, which increases the efficiency of data storage by 50%, compared to regular 2-bit MLC chips. However, 3-bit will not replace 2-bit NANDs in solid-state drives, where high number of write cycles and reliability are top priority. The new chips will be used in 8 GB microSD memory cards together with Samsung's 3-bit NAND controllers, which will be followed by new USB Flash drives.

Sapphire also releases Radeon HD 5770 "second edition"
Sapphire introduced a new model of Radeon HD 5770, based on revised reference design with a new cooling system. Other that that, the new card is technically same as the previous version: GPU at 850 MHz with 800 Stream processors, 128-bit memory interface, 1GB of GDDR5 RAM at 4800 MHz as well as DirectX 11 and CrossFireX support. The card is priced آ£117 in UK, yet it doesn't come with a game voucher for DiRT 2.
