High-End P55 Motherboards
Intel Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs that are compatible with LGA1156 socket, slowly but steadily are becoming interesting choice for wider user group because this socket is direct descendant of “good old” LGA775 and, of course, price drops. Intel P55 chipset is, basically, following footsteps of previous P chipsets (P965, P35, and P45). It is obvious that soon there will be many P55 based motherboards. For now we got two models signed by ASUS and Biostar which are based on same chipset but present two totally different solutions to the same problem.

Mini DisplayPort is standardized
The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) today issued its Mini-Display Port (mDP) Connector Standard, defining the new, small connector that supports the full range of power, signaling and protocol capabilities defined in the DisplayPort Standard Version 1, Revision 1a. Mini-DisplayPort meets the need for a smaller form factor connector for devices such as thin portable computers and add-in cards with multiple display interfaces. The mDP connector can be used as an alternative to the standard DisplayPort.

Google is targeting at Skype?
At the moment, this one is not official, but it looks like Google purchased VoIP company Gizmo5, for around $30 million in cash. That’s really nothing more than pocket change for them, but this transaction is important because of new technology that Google will acquire. The deal would bring Gizmo's SIP-based VoIP to Google Voice. They will accomplish two things with one strike, upgrading solution from phone-management service to complete end-to-end calling solution, and instantly charging with their new solution into direct competition with Skype.

15-inch OLED TV on the market
In the South Korea, for now. As we earlyer reported, LG scheduled to start selling biggest commercial available OLED TVs this year, starting in South Korea, and for now, they remain on track. Street price is around $2500, quite similar to only previous offering from Sony, but they started sales earlier and charged same price for less size.
