Creative to jump in e-book train?
At Creative Annual General Meeting, many were surprised by their announcement of entering the e-book market. They displayed a working model of its first e-book reader, named the MediaBook. This new device is said to be based on Creative’s Zii platform and will feature a color touchscreen display (not e-ink mono or color screen), text-to-speech function, an SD memory card slot, 3G, WiFi and multimedia capabilities (pictures, videos, radio).

Hector Ruiz to Step Down
Hector Ruiz, chairman of the GLOBALFOUNDRIES board of directors, will take a voluntary leave of absence effective immediately before resigning from the company in January, the company’s board announced yesterday. The move doesn't come as a surprise, as Ruiz's was allegedly involved in the Galleon Group insider trading scheme with information regarding AMD's manufacturing spinoff plans last year.
