LG X120 Netbook Lands On AT&T, Brings Sleek Package With It
You'd think that with all the netbook competition in America, LG--a widely known company in the consumer electronics arena--would have an option in the mix. Amazingly, they don't. Well, they do now, but they didn't up until today. As with the Samsung Go, the LG X120 is making its official debut on AT&T's netbook, as it will be yet another 3G netbook offered on the US carrier. The X120 has already shipped in a few other places (including Canada), but for whatever reason it has taken awhile to get to the States.

Must-Have iPhone Accessory: A Cell Phone
Newsweek has posted an article titled "Dial A for Accessory," which lists a set of must-have accessories for iPhone users. Number eight out of eight on the list: another cell phone. This centers around that fact that for many users, as a cell phone, the iPhone fails, and fails badly. For example, thirty percent of calls in New York City are dropped, and that's typical, according to Apple's Genius Bar. Newsweek also gives AT&T a jab, noting that for reliability, the accessory cell phone should be on the Verizon

Happy Thanksgiving!
It's Thanksgiving here in the US, a time of year when we all pause to reflect on how fortunate we all are. Thanksgiving is a great tradition when you stop and think about it. This holiday isn't about rushing around and buying gifts. The day after Thanksgiving certainly has become over-commercialized, but not today--11/26/2009--Thanksgiving Day. Today you have nothing else to do (or at least nothing else that you should be doing) except visiting with family and friends, breaking bread, and enjoying each other’s

Drobo S and DroboElite Make Normal NAS Drives Look Dumb
Inelegant NAS solutions have been around for years, and still they sell well. All of the organization and data management is left on the shoulders of the owner, and the drive itself simply serves up content whenever you--the end-user--tells it to. The Drobo changed all of that in early 2007, and now Data Robotics is looking to expand its product line in a big way. In fact, the company is doubling the amount of products it sells today, though that's not too difficult to do when your line only consists of two

Dell's Studio 17 has been around for well over a year now, so it's certainly due for an update. Newsweek also gives AT&T a jab, noting that for reliability, the accessory cell phone should be on the Verizon network. The magazine cites AT&T's network as well as poor battery life for reasons to have a backup cell phone.آ
You may recall, also that Verizon has been targeting AT&T's 3G network in its recent TV ads.آ While AT&T has sued Verizon and asked for an injunction against the company, claiming the maps in the ads confuse customers into thinking AT&T's coverage is non-existent in most of the U.S., it lost its first battle in that war.آ Since then, however, Apple has decided to "help out" AT&T, its BFF (at least until exclusivity ends).
Less snarkily, the other accessories listed in the article include headphones, cases, and battery extenders.

ASUS Xtreme Design contest: stage 2 build - Sfanatics
I would like to thank ASUS, Intel, Razer, Nvidia, Gskill, Antec for providing all of the awesome hardware! This is seriously an incredible contest!
So first of all my end goal is to build a home arcade system to play Streetfighter 4 in 3D along with other games! So here it goes!
Here are the goodies!

Antec 850 quattro! this is sexy

it came with tons of modular accessories!

and this heavy duty PSU!
Next up is the ASUS GTX260 from Nvidia!
This unit is different from traditional reference design boards that competitors usually offer. it has a 5.8OZ copper heatsink. ASUS does always does an awesome job engineering their own cards to take a reference card to the next level. although its not better than the top, its still better than referance.

Its great to see all the goodies it came with but i wont need any of it.

same

and here it is!

These spring screws make it easy for watercooling upgrades. im assuming this is why ASUS sent us this card vs referance. its better and easier to modify!

i took it apart to apply higher quality thermal paste but i may go water soon...

eww
thanks for the ROG shirt!
the SSD from Samsung came on a 3.5inch bracket but i wont need it
128GB SSD from samsung! BLING BLING
Gskill memory running at 2133 is HOT
Intel Core i7 1156 socket. I wish they had this contest for the X58 but the P55 will do just fine. all i gotta say is INTEL FTW

Sorry intel but that HSF is too small.

Razer Lycosa and Death Adder Mouse!! ive been wanting to get my hands on one of these for a long time. thank you!

more to come!

Dell's Studio 17 Notebook Gains Core i7, Multi-Touch Screen
N-trig, a company known for its DuoSense solution combining pen and capacitive multi-touch in a single device, has been chosen to provide the multi-touch panel for Dell's Studio 17, and we're told that it's a "true four-point touch interface that enables a broader span of software capabilities, user collaboration, and fun for the whole family."

In fact, users can even get the Studio 17 with a 1GB ATI GPU and a Core i7 CPU, making this a viable alternative to some of the more expensive (and non-multi-touch) rivals out there. Interested in what a touch panel can do for you? Check out the video below.
