New Build Slow installing and booting windows. Whats up? help
Hi,
Upgraded recent to a new cpu, motherboard, ram and video card.
I've bought windows 7 home prem and both on Vista and 7 it takes a long time to install (1 hour plus) and over 2 and a half minuites to boot.
This is what i have running.
Windows 7 Home Prem 64Bit version
AMD Phenom X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3 8MB L3 Cache
4Gigs of Kingston 2gb Ddr3 1600mhz Hyperx Memory Cl9(9-9-9-27)
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P 790X Socket AM3 DDR3 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
MSI HD 4890 Cyclone 1GB GDDR5 DVI VGA HDMI Out PCI-E Graphics Card
SATA 250GB HDD
120GB IDE HDD
570Watt Power Supply unit (this has the 4pin power to the motherboard but there is an 8 pin connector socket avail, manual says it support 4,6 and 8 pin power leads
BIOS Setting are set to optimized settings and thats about it at the mo.
The OS sees the correct CPU Speed and Memory
I also have the latest video drivers installed for the ati, falshed the BIOS to the latest, set the DDR3 to 1600 and have the kingstone settings 9-9-9-27 set in the bios.

Now, wonder why your employerisn't doing the same. As the US government goes back and forth with its"public option," IBM is doing what every other major corporationshould've done years ago: it's taking care of things on its own. Thedeal really is as sweet as it sounds, too.
There will be no coinsurance or deductible for in-network primary carewith theirinternist, family practitioner, pediatrician, general practitioner orprimary osteopath. Of course, IBM isn't the only company in the US tocover primary care at 100%, but it's easily the most visable to do it.IBM is a company that demands attention in the tech world and on WallStreet, so it makes sense that people are looking at this and expectingchange elsewhere.
As if this wasn't enough, the outfit is also announcing a new wellnessincentive for employees to encourage changes in lifestyleto build energy, better health and vitality through all aspects ofpersonal well-being -- emotional, mental and physical. Starting soon,this will be one of five $150 rebates offered to full-time IBMemployees in the US.

It wasn't until May, after manufacturing of the device had begun, that Beijing lifted the existing wi-fi ban on devices.
This will create problems for China Unicom, which has reportedly contracted with Apple for 5 million iPhones. China Unicom hopes to have wi-fi in its next large batch of iPhones, saying: "We are talking with Apple and expect the problem to be solved by the end of this year."
Until then, though, what? China Unicom also is at a price disadvantage: unlocked grey import iPhones (with wi-fi, no less) cost around 5,700 yuan ($835) in China’s street markets, while China Unicom charges from 4,999 yuan ($730) to 6,999 yuan ($1,025) for the high-end, 32 GB iPhone 3GS.
So the question: an unlocked iPhone for less money, or official iPhone, tied to one carrier, for more money. Which would you choose? To be honest, even with the wi-fi feature, the fact that the unlocked iPhone goes for less creates an issue for Apple, as well as China Unicom.
In other countries, unlocked iPhones go for more, and far more than a locked version. This backwards set-up in China may prove to be difficult to overcome.

YouTube-Streamed U2 Concert Attracts 10 Million Streams From 188 Nations
The live U2 streamed concert over YouTube happened earlier in the week,and the Internet is still alive. Barely, maybe, but it's still hummingalong. In what's being described as the largest concert to ever bestreamed over the 'Net, U2's 360 Tour stop at California's Rose Bowlwas beamed out live over the Google-owned media streaming site, and nowthat the numbers are in, we're even more impressed.We tuned in for the first 80% of the show, and outside of a few blipsand bloops here and there, the show was as smooth as butter on astandard cable broadband connection. Frankly, we were amazed at what wesaw. The quality was top notch for being such a big attraction, and U2has now confirmed exactly how many people tuned in.
The Sunday night show, which began around midnight Eastern Time, showedthe world's biggest band in front of 97,000 in-house fans. All told,over ten million streams were connected in 188 countries. Just in caseyou weren't aware, that's a lot of simultaneous connections, and that'san awful lot of bandwidth. We're hearing that around 700,000connections were attached at the same time during the show's peak, andconsidering just how well the site held up under the pressure, we'dlove to see more concerts streamed in this manner. Particularly giventhe sky-high ticket/parking rates these days.
