
[Rumour] ATI to power next Xbox?
According to Fudo over at Fudzilla, AMD has already snapped up the deal for designing the GPU is the next-generation Xbox.
The current Xbox 360 is powered by ATI's Xenos GPU, which is based on R580 (X1900), which some characteristics of R600 (HD 2900), such as the unified shaders. Despite releasing a full year earlier, Microsoft are happy with the fact that the Xenos is more powerful than PS3's RSX GPU based on Nvidia NV47 (Geforce 7800).

Nvidia partners deny EOL of GTX 200 series
It seems like we are going back and forth, in circles. Following our story yesterday on recent rumours suggesting Nvidia's partners discontinuing the GTX 260, 275 and 285 cards, Bright Side of News is now reporting that the AIB partners unanimously claim there is no truth in these reports, and the GTX 200 series cards in question will continue to be mass-produced.

ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series Sum-Up
The ATI Radeon HD 5770 and the HD 5750 release today, as expected. As a reminder, this is the series based on the mainstream Juniper die.
The HD 5770 features the full 800SP and is basically identical to the HD 4890 in specifications, except for a 128-bit memory interface. Our final memory bandwidth is 77 GB/s, well short of the HD 4890's 120 GB/s. It is priced at $159.
The HD 5750 is a cut down version of the same Juniper die, featuring 9 of the 10 SIMD units, thus 720 SP / 36 TMU. The 512MB version is priced at $109 and 1GB at $129.

[Rumour] Nvidia partners discontinue GTX 260, 275, 285
First reported last week by Charlie Demerjian of SemiAccurate that Nvidia were killing the GTX 200 series, the news created quite an uproar in the hardware community. Ken Brown, Nvidia PR, replied by saying "There is no truth in this", the next day.
A week before that, AIB partners complained of shortages in 55nm graphics boards, and there is no doubt, that alongside all the rumours remains the fact that availability for the GTX 200 series has been slowly deteriorating.
In the latest twist to the tale, today, Fudzilla reports that it is not Nvidia, but its partners which are discontinuing the GTX 200 series.

Geforce G 210, GT 220 Release Round-up
As we had reported, today is Geforce GT 220's release. Joining the party too is the Geforce G 210. Surprisingly, we are starved for reviews of what is Nvidia's first public 40nm offering, but we have an idea of what to expect from these new products.
The reviews online are TomsHardware and PCPer. These products run cool, quiet and efficient and support CUDA. Sadly, that is all they have going for them.
