AMD Phenom II 965 Processor Review @ OCC :: Posted by THRASHER2
"When it came to the multiplier, anything over 18.5x and the computer would not boot at all. Even pushing the voltage on the CPU, NB and the HT just as I did with the Phenom II X4 955, I could not get any more out of it without getting too hot and blue screening. When it came to pushing the reference clock, I hit the wall at 211MHz. Just as with the multiplier any more would make the system unstable. During the overclocking I really had to watch the temps because they sat in the low 60C range; the maximum specified temperature for the Phenom II X4 965 is 62C, which made me nervous. It did remain stable so the final settings I ran for the overclock were 3.903GHz at 1.5v and memory speeds of 1689MHz at 7-7-7-20 timings."

AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition CPU Review :: Posted by THRASHER2
AMD is launching a brand new flagship desktop processor today, dubbed the Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition. As you can probably surmise from its name--if you're familiar with AMD's naming convention, that is--the Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition is virtually identical to the 955 it supplants at the top of AMD's desktop processor line-up, save for the 965's higher default clock speed. Whereas the 955 clocked in at a speedy 3.2GHz, the new 965 arrives at a lofty 3.4GHz, making it the highest clocked CPU to come from AMD to date. Click the link below and check it out...

Asus Rampage II GENE Review @ OCC :: Posted by THRASHER2
"Even above the excellent quality and thoughtful inclusions however is the sheer fact that all of these features fit onto such a tiny board. Integrated X-Fi is extremely nice, and being able to run SLI or Crossfire on such a small board is a huge boon to gamers on the go. I am extremely impressed with the Asus Rampage II GENE and recommend it without reservation to anyone looking for a uATX board. I also recommend it to people just looking to get into overclocking, because with the temp monitors you can OC on auto, see what the board sets, and then work from there! Asus has out-done themselves with the Rampage II GENE, which holds to its Republic of Gamers branding to the roots."

Coolermaster TX3 Low Cost CPU Cooler @ Pro-Clockers :: Posted by THRASHER2
Coolermaster has never been one to only cater to the enthusiast market. Like any good company they cover all based and in the case of our next Coolermaster product we are covering. The market projected is the class that wants good performance at not a high price point or better yet entry level. The $19.99 MSRP is a great target price for anyone looking to upgrade from their old stocker cooler to something that promises to be much better and at the same time support cross platforms including the upcoming Intel 1156 socket.

Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P Motherboard Review :: Posted by THRASHER2
I get to play with the Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P, after taking a look at the MA790XT-UD4P and the MA790FXT-UD5P, the two higher end AM3 boards from the same manufacturer. Also based on the 7-series chipset without an integrated graphics processing unit, this affordable board is also compatible with the latest processors from AMD and, compared to many other boards in its price range, works with DDR3 memory.

Zotac GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 Video Card AMP! :: Posted by THRASHER2
" Today I have to review a Zotac GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 Video Card AMP Edition. Zotac is currently producing dozens and dozens of cards, from the GeForce 5 series through the 200 series. This particular card was chosen for a machine that Iآ’d call a آ“casual everythingآ” computer. By that, I mean that the machine running it occasionally does some video production, some gaming, some photo editing, and the like. However, it doesnآ’t do enough that it needs the worldآ’s best card. Itآ’s also not your grandma Bettyآ’s solitaire and email machine. "

G.Skill F3-12800CL8T-6GBHK Review @ OCC :: Posted by THRASHER2
"When I set out to overclock these modules, I had a goal of reaching 1866 with reasonable settings. Loosening the timings and increasing the voltage did not greatly improve stability beyond 1800MHz, and the modules weren't hot at all. Nothing like the original DDR days. No matter how much QPI or memory voltage I poured in, the results were similar. The highest I could manage to boot with was 1868MHz, unstable and 2Mhz over of my goal of 1866, with rolling blue screens proving that these modules were finicky at higher speeds. They appeared stable with CAS 10, which didn't add any headroom, but then what's the point at running that loosely with high voltage. At CAS 9 they would boot happily and run for a while until a random BSOD would appear. Testing was conducted with 1.66V at stock timings. The overclocked testing was done at 1800MHz, rather than the volatile settings and loose timings that were needed for the extra 66MHz. 1800MHz was very simple."

Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler Review @ Verdis Reviews :: Posted by THRASHER2
Recently weآ’ve been taking a look at some pretty high end CPU coolers which, despite the different fin configurations and heatpipe layouts, are all reasonably similar. The Cooler Master V8, which we are to take a look at in this review, is a litter different in that although it is based on a tower format design it has added heatsinks on both sides and a centrally mounted fan.
