QPAD readies the MK-80 mechanical gaming keyboard
Swedish peripheral maker QPAD is going after PC gamers once more, this time with new ammo in the form of the MK-80 keyboard which aims to impress with its 'true' mechanical switches that provide top-notch accuracy, and individual-lit (LED-inside) keys.

CM Storm Enforcer midi-tower coming next month
Cooler Master has announced that its newest CM Storm-branded PC case, the midi-tower known as Enforcer, will become available, at least in Europe, early next month. Like pretty much all CM storm products, the Enforcer is aimed towards gamers and enthusiasts.

HP also unveils the EliteBook 8760w, 8560w & 8460w mobile workstations
In addition to catering to the needs of professionals confined in cubicles (with the Z210), HP will also be offering a little something something to on-the-move customers with its new EliteBook w-series mobile workstations.

HP has now announced the successor of the Z200 workstations, a model called Z210 which comes in two size options - convertible mini-tower (CMT) and highly compact small form factor (SFF), and is aimed for use in space-constrained environments.

Toshiba Corp. is putting the pedal to the metal on data security with today's launch of the MK6461GSYG family of 2.5-inch Self-Encrypting Drives (SEDs) which utilize the new, proprietary Wipe technology.

ECS' ElitePad S10 'Oak Trail' slate gets handled by the FCC
Showcased at CeBIT 2011 in March, the Oak Trail-based ElitePad S10 tablet/slate made by ECS (Elitegroup Computer Systems) seems to be inbound to US stores as recently it passed through the watchful eyes of the US FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

Chrome 12.0.733.0 (dev) & 11.0.696.43 (beta) builds available for download
Google's browser team has rolled out a couple of fresh updates to please the Chrome crowd, a new Dev channel build known as 12.0.733.0 which includes mostly stability and UI tweaks, and the 11.0.696.43 beta build. Both releases are available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

TUL Corp. is currently working on a new, customized Radeon HD 6950, the Vortex PCS++ HD6950 which is equipped with a cooler featuring four copper heatpipes and two Vortex fans. These spinners can be adjusted (pulled up/pushed down) to tweak the airflow and improve cooling.

Revealed just before CeBIT 2011, Asus' BW-12D1S-U Blu-ray writer has now received a proper introduction and should become available very soon. This drive promises write speeds of up to 12x for Blu-ray discs and, thanks to its Optical Tuning Strategy (OTS) technology, also enables smooth playback.
